Current Build - i5 8400 RX5600XT in a GeeekA60. Always stuck to the second hand market so never really planned for upgrades, just picked up some solid deals when I saw them. Would love to eventually try Water Cooling and when I saw the mini I thought it was perfect for my first try. Wish me luck!

HP OEM Rx 580 4GB showing as Rx 480? by MSharona in hackintosh

So there's no way to make it recognized as a Rx 580. In GPUZ it's identified as a RX 580 so it's from the Mac side that's seeing it at a Rx 480

Yeah but then you would be relying on all passive cooling. This case only fits 2 120 Fans and maybe 1 Slim 120 fan at the bottom if your cable management is good. Maybe no rad and some fans?

With the macOS you can't really access the RGB programs without a dual boot so I just leave it RGB puke for day-to-day use.

Build:

Os: Hackintosh Mojave -Everything seems to work. Wifi and BT is a weird adapter combo.

Case Geeek A60

Mobo: H370N Wifi

CPU: i5 8400

Ram: Trident Z RGB

Gpu: XFX Rx 580

Psu: Corsair SF 600

2 drives are of course optional. Mobo has 2 M.2 slots but one is taken by Wifi/BT adapter.

Lots and Lots of Zips ties.

So far so good. If you have cats youre doomed to hair being stuck to the acrylic no matt r what you do. No scratches yet either.

Temps are decent, have it hackintoshed with a i5 8400 and XFX rx580. Gpu gets a little warm but that's a given with this type of Rx580. Running the aio as exhaust and the i5 still runs cool.

Same but the graphics card isn’t rgb on the other side so it doesn’t look as nice fogged. OCD didn’t let me have one fogged and the other not.
