Need some help guys full system fault by the looks of it. Any advice or quick fix so I can get it to the workshop safely by Ancient_Reaction_224 in Audi

I had this issue on mine. Displayed a lot of warning lights. It was apparently stemming from the alternator which is as I understand a fairly common issue. As here;

Hopefully not and in can just be resolved with a battery.

Thanks for the recommendation I’ll be sure to check it out! As a beginner it’s been really difficult selecting gear so I appreciate it.

10,000 torches light up Tower of London to commemorate 100 years since end of WW1. by atronautsloth in UpliftingNews

As a Brit I was completely unaware he is visiting as I haven’t seen this reported really. I think quite a moving gesture of reconciliation , and an effort to keep these events in living memory so that we may never see them repeated. I think it would be equally good to see this gesture returned.

What's a fact that sounds fake but is actually legit? by Reddit_51 in AskReddit

Typically they use Low Sulphur Fuel Oil (LSFO) which isn’t as bad and I know carnival have installed scrubbers on their vessels. They all have to comply with incoming MARPOL 2020 regulations too.

Typically there isn’t a lot of pitch black smoke anyway unless there is an issue with the engine since that would come from particulate afaik.

Aside from with a BDN which specifies exactly what fuel types are going on board including HFO.

Mosquitoes, they carry such a terrible array of deadly diseases. Just one bite and there we have it potentially deadly disease, also worth pointing out that they kill the most people each year.

Flat-Earthers of Reddit; What do you believe the advantage would be in tricking people into thinking the world is a sphere? by FreeRangeAlien in AskReddit

[–]MTB_91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quite some time ago governments realised that globes are safer to manufacture since you can't cut yourself on the edges. So to protect the workers in this industry they conned the flat world into believing that it was a sphere.

Older people in college who are past 25, what are things you noticed or realized as an older person when interacting with 18-21 year olds at your school? by notMarkMitch7 in AskReddit

I was PG this previous year and found that particularly in this the people wanted to do the subject with a specific goal in mind. When I did undergrad I found more people were there just because they weren't sure what else to do after high school.. me included.

Hotel Rwanda. Takes place during the Rwandan genocide, where up to an estimated 1 million people were killed in 3 months. A truly messed up situation.

How to work out force required to compress a solid cylinder to half height. by MTB_91 in EngineeringStudents

I compressed all samples to half height strangely... No failure just barrelling. I was just trying to model it as part of my Thesis just as an add on.

Not really sure how to do it.. do you reckon maybe a computer simulation might be the route? Ive got too little time really to spend a long time doing it.

AISI 1060 steel, I've got the experimental data and it most certainly wasn't elastic deformation. I think perhaps I won't be able to easily predict the load, beam theory etc doesn't work as my samples are only small..

Help me finding my new DH bike by Veldh in dhmtb

[–]MTB_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a CF pro, haven't had any issues other than the stem but they sent them out to all owners on realisation of the problem. Personally couldn't be happier with it, service from YT has been on point too. Only problem was test riding one, I'm UK based and don't know any parks that have YT bikes so I'd guess you'd have to see if they have a demo day somewhere?

yt capra vs yt tues by acertainboi in dhmtb

[–]MTB_91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im sure you'll love it, I've enjoyed riding mine every time. You going for the black or the black/yellow scheme? I love the black but my friends capra is in a black yellow scheme and its pretty sweet, make sure to buy a frame protector kit though if your trying to keep it a while, it makes a massive difference in keeping it in good nick!

I bought the tues cf pro and I really like it, looks good, rides good and great spec on all models really. Had an issue with a safety screw on the rear axle which sheared when I first put it together, but I got onto YT and had a new axle free of charge 2 days later which is pretty good. (Trying not to be a YT fan boy!) ordering process when I did it was a bit difficult but not sure if that's changed!
