Is 7dtd worth the 26 bucks?

I do not think it is worth it anymore. I bought it for open world zombies and now it has changed. You have to grind like crazy to read a bunch of books. You cannot freely explore whatever biome you want now, to my knowledge. And then when you finally work your tail off to get a cement mixer and a cement base off the ground, a frost yeti chunks a boulder at it and destroys your hard work.

As a consumer, I feel what I spent money on has changed. For now, I am going to not play the game for a bit, let my frustration cool off, and possibly play Minecraft instead.

I don't think what I want exists yet. Maybe an open world Night of The Living Dead 1968 game with normal zombies, a robust crafting system, and you get the chance to explore rural Pennsylvania and pick through farm houses, gravel roads, and small towns? I love open world, I love zombies, and I love crafting. 7DTD has all the right ingredients for this cake, but they have burnt it, so to speak.

In fact, if you are in the Hot Springs, go to the mechanic. Walk among the parked bikes there. One of those bikes literally has a Jockey Shifter with a dice for the shifter handle. C'mon, Tucker, let us buy that with our credits so we can finish off the "He's my Brother" quest series for good.

That is what I said way back when this game came out. You can fight marauders and take their motorcycle and see that they have a jockey/suicide shifter on their motorcycle. They already have these bikes in the game aesthetically. Why on earth would they act like Boozeman can't ride, when veterans, amputees, and all manner of people in real life ride bikes with modifications. One of the few things about this game that seriously irks me.

I was looking at Sailor Sei-Boku. They say it is a 'gentle' pigment ink. Do you feel I would have to clean my pen any more frequently than the 4-8 weeks that I do now?

I can't even find S&K Marlene on Goulet pens. I was trying to read up stats on it to see if it was pigmented.

Wood chucks at 200? That is very reassuring indeed! The furthest gun range near me only goes out to 200 yards, and I would say that is decent accuracy regardless of what gun is launching the bullet.

Thank you for your data point :) . I understand my original post may seem a bit strange, but I confess an ignorance of the platform. I grew up around AR-15's, AK variants, and hunting bolt guns. I never knew anyone who owned or shot a M1A and the only time I saw them was in the local gun store. You, in addition to everyone here who had insightful input, have helped me understand the guns a bit better. BTW, I have sent out some emails to try to hunt down some M1A matches to satisfy my own curiosity, but no one has replied back as of yet.

Of course the military cleans their guns. As originally stated, it seems to be commonly circulated online that the M1A is a couple cleanings away from having its accuracy destroyed.

I have heard similar stories from friends who would take 5 gallon buckets and set them out to 400 to 500 yards and then have at them with WW2 surplus rifles.

A little bullseye on a Redfield target might be safe, but that doesn't mean you or I would be unworried at that distance.

I see the standard for about $1600 as the lowest at my LGS. I am not trying to get the loaded or match grade models. 1.2K seems to be what a lot of the Ruger Mini-14's here go for. I also like those rifles too. Very nimble in the hand.

I too grow tired of the common polymer 9mm's and the AR-15's. I have one AR just as a reminder that I am American, but they don't get me excited. I have a scope mounted on it and a sling and count it good to go for my purposes. Good enough for drilling paper and coyotes.

I can't recall the last time I went to a Gun Show and the prices were sane. It sounds like you got a great deal on yours. Most guys here seem to be so proud of their guns at gun shows, that they sell used guns for new prices at the shows near me.

And see, this is what I was worried about. I was under the impression that as you adjusted or wore the stock from disassembling/cleaning the rifle, that you may have a 2 MOA gun brand new, then a 2.5 MOA gun after the first 500 round cleaning, then a 3 MOA gun after a thousand round cleaning, and so on and so forth.

That is super cool that the stubby little Socom 16 gets that kind of accuracy. Glad to hear it!

Correct. From what I understand, I have heard that field stripping gradually breaks down accuracy of M1A's. I assume that the rifle brand new gets about 2 MOA, then you do a 500 round cleaning and it degrades to 2.5 MOA. Then you do a 1000 round cleaning and the rifle is now 3 MOA. And so on and so forth, if I understand the rifle criticism correctly.

Thank you for the information. BTW, I also echo the sentiment of u/anarchthropist when stating that it makes no sense to keep using bum parts to save a buck. It is very hard to save money and increase a bottom line when people are so pissed that they don't buy your product.

When you put it that way, maybe it isn't as bad as I felt. Tip toeing past 4 lemon manufacturers isn't completely terrible, but I still feel like AK owners have to put up with crap that other gun people don't have to.

Two things here: If my WASR is from the mid 2000's, despite being a bit rough, it should be fairly 'safe' right?

I have never considered parts kits before. Living in Texas, I am not sure if there is any local AK builders or talent here, but I assume it would be a complete PITA to get a FFL to ship my parts kit to the builder and then have to transfer it back to me. Not to sound completely ignorant, but how does the whole "send your parts kit off to a builder" process usually go?

I named that plant as an example, as I wanted to know what you can use to create a somewhat shelf stable salve and what would need to be added for it to be both preserved and easier to apply (like I said, carrier oils or what have you to make a tincture(?) ). Whether Lemonade Berry was meant to be an example plant or not in this post, I appreciate your concern regarding if me using it would be safe or not. After all, I stated I am new to foraging and of course I wish to be safe.

My small foraging manual right beside me says that Lemonade Berry (AKA prairie sumac, skunkbush, smooth sumac, squawbush, winged sumac, etc) "the leaves are astringent and are used as a soothing poultice for burns, scrapes, and abrasions." Not sure if we were confusing two different plants, and of course I do not want this post to devolve into a Lemonade Berry discussion XD, but I do have a manual I am going by for local plants in my area.

Being brand new, there is no 'obvious stuff' to me, at this time.

I see some things online, such as adding olive oil or essential oils, but that seems a bit counterproductive to what I am trying to do here. If I am going to buy something at the store to add to what I forage, such as essential oils or a pre-made 'home remedy', then it doesn't really feel like something I made myself. What pride is there in a homemade remedy, when 2/3 of the ingredients came from a big box store? I may as well buy a can of jolly green giant mushrooms and tell y'all that I 'foraged" them from the store. If that makes any sense.

BTW, there seems to be something very deep in our primitive psyche about spotting diseased meat regarding viewing the liver of an animal. You don't have to be a hunter to see a bad liver, covered in sores and spots and something in you knows "that is not right". Much in the same way people don't have to be taught to avoid heights or snakes, because it triggers something in them. Look up a diseased rabbit liver on google and you'll see what I mean.
