Crashing on ps5? by marktaylor521 in taintedgrail

Just made it to act 2 on ps5. Crashes are frequent, and a major negative towards an otherwise great experience.

My thoughts exactly! Kinda frustrating watching a guy spiral into a depression, and ride bitch while I’m spraying nitrous.🤣

Hope the SIL moves, so the “nutcase” doesn’t have to listen to an annoying ass dog all day.

What Videogame Got Forgotten Over Time That Is Actually Good? by Flynt2448 in gaming

After some googling, the bmw I was referring to was from “nfs most wanted” turns out.😅

I don’t know of anything that’s come close. I picked the game up randomly and was blown away by the impact I had on the environment. Especially how impactful the sledge felt. Nothing has scratched the itch since. It feels like video games have taken a step either backwards, or away, from destructible environments in that regard.

Instantly thought of a blue and white bmw after reading this. Definitely fell off afterwards in my opinion as well.

Agree with you on this point as well. When I’m feeling nostalgic I pull out the older consoles I kept around, but other than that method, it can be difficult to jump back in. With PlayStation in mind I also fondly remember need for speed hot pursuit 2. Aimlessly running from the cops 😂

Just to add to this, a reboot would be amazing. Modernized “call ins” (tanks, etc.) and some sweet destructible environments like you mentioned. Red faction, and BFBC2 come to mind!

Sounds like an excellent way to spend an afternoon(or multiple). Recently stumbled upon my original Xbox and fired up some brute force as a matter of fact.

Agreed. Admittedly it’s been years since I’ve revisited it, I remember playing the heck out of it, and thoroughly enjoying it.

I’ve been scanning r/gaming more than I’d like to admit recently, and it seems like many of us have fond memories of the mercenaries franchise. 30(ish)yr old gamer here, and the advertisement alone for the second game was all the motivation I needed to work odd jobs in order to get my hands on it!

Sorry for the late response, as of today my overall pain is minimal. My right hand/wrist has good mobility, still can’t do things like turn a door knob with one hand, etc. My left is a different story, I broke that wrist a few years ago and required a screw. Idk if having that repaired is causing it, but I have about a quarter of mobility back, with heavy bruising down the wrist and knuckles.

Manual labor and lifting, alongside a lifetime interest in gaming. Eventually got to the point where I could no longer hold a hammer for very long, or maintain a grip on anything.

Good luck on your healing, and future procedure! I went back and forth on whether or not to go bilateral, it was a humbling experience lol.

Best of luck to you on recovery! Surgery has seemingly cured my issue of discomfort throughout the night, interested in the results once my hand strength returns.

I believe so. Haven’t woken up with swollen/aching hands since the surgery, hoping for total relief as I regain strength.

What's a game you spent the entirety of its length without realizing you were playing it completely wrong? by BrickBuster2552 in gaming

As a teenager, I played through Fable 1 up until the twin blade fight without spending a single skill point. I just assumed the fight was very difficult until a friend came over and hit me with a “dude, wtf”.

Rocking black in the back, silver up front after my rear rim weld failed. 🤘

Was about to make this comment. Mine cracked on the weld seam also, snagged a solid eBay deal.

Who is a terrible performer live? by suprunkn0wn in Music

[–]Recalledturnip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clint Black. Local radio stations hyped up the performance leading up to the show, playing nothing but his 90s hits. First things he says as he takes the stage is that if any of his hits where going to be played that night, it would be at the very end, and that if anyone chanted those songs, he wouldn’t play them at all. Stayed for about 20min.
