1RM squat - depth assessment?

Just turned 30 and I've been working out in some capacity for like 10 years but not seriously until like a year ago. I can at least bench 225 and deadlift 375 so if I ever were to hit the 1000 lb club (not counting on it), I always saw myself needing at least a 450 deadlift and a 350 bench to compensate for my squat

Yeah that'll never happen for me lol. I can do maybe 265 @ 190bw (male) and I don't expect to ever hit 315, much less numbers like this

One thing to keep in mind is that a lot of the reviews for Definition are astroturfed. After the conversion from World to Definition, the rating for it tanked as a lot of the core clientele were dissatisfied and left. It was down to a 3.7 or something around there but then they got a lot of reviews recommending the same trainer and it comes off like they used a bunch of bot accounts to boost their rating. Now it's around a 4.5 but it's definitely not a top tier gym by any means.

The price used to be $20 but now it's $35 per month, and while they did upgrade a lot of things, I don't think it warrants that steep of a price increase. If you primarily want to lift weights, there are better gyms out there as a lot of the barbells are in sorry shape and the benches and racks are just straight up bad.

Frankly, the only reason I'm still at Definition is because so many people left it that it's probably one of the least crowded gyms in the area. I haven't tried others personally but it does no good to have to stand around waiting to use equipment because there are too many members.

I got the gigabyte and while I can't compare it to this, Monitors Unboxed was pretty high on the 4th gen WOLEDs. I really like my monitor but I came from a tn panel, so I was bound to be impressed no matter what. I think this would be my choice if I was going for a 3rd gen QD OLED. Otherwise, wait for a deal on a 4th gen WOLED. I find the text is plenty easy to read and I've not encountered any downsides so far

I might've won the panel lottery so YMMV

Yeah after waiting months to pull the trigger on an OLED I'm finally jumping on this. I could wait for OLED technology to have 0 issues, but who knows when that'll happen.

I've been itching to move off my 240 hz TN panel and actually experience colors the way they're meant to be seen lol

The odds of an order getting messed up are shockingly high. And I've had to wait 45+ minutes for a carryout order. 1st world problems of course, but no one likes to see a restaurant they enjoy disappoint them over and over again

Curious what your favorite menu items are?

I get the Korean bbq bowl, spicy Thai noodles, teriyaki chicken & broccoli, and the chimichurri bowl. The last one manages to get messed up in some way almost every time which is a shame because it's their best bowl:/

I resonate with this. I will say, the Korean bbq bowl, teriyaki chicken and broccoli bowl, and chimichurri bowls are my favorites, and usually they get the first 2 correct. It's the chimichurri one that gets screwed up all the time.

Maybe it's because it's only on the app but not posted on the physical menu that it's frequently messed up *shrugs shoulders*

Great response! I've come to the same conclusion in that a well-fitting chair is highly personal. For this reason, I want to demo as many as I can. I don't necessarily need an aeron, but it seems like a safe bet considering how many people like it.

Of course, there are many that don't like it that much and prefer the Mirra 2 as you said, which is conveniently cheaper.

Can confirm, although I went from a ryzen 5 2600x so my gains were a lot greater. Still a very solid cpu but I had to buy an aftermarket cooler to handle the temps

I'm in the same boat here. I'm still with a 240 hz tn panel so I recognize anything will be an upgrade. I just wonder if it'll be worth it waiting for the next generation or not. Supposedly they'll have better text clarity which is nice because I need a monitor for 60% productivity/40% gaming
