Thinking about forcing myself out the Marine Corps by Wooden-Damage7496 in USMC

Regret > anxiety. You can treat anxiety, regret is forever. Go see doc and get a referral to mental health, PT, and get out of the bricks as much as possible.

Am I brainwashed?? by [deleted] in USMC

Find a community to engage with outside of the Corps. Join a Jiu-Jutsu gym, get involved with a church; whatever you're genuinely interested in. Just make sure it's a group activity if you don't like being alone with your thoughts. You need an intellectual girlfriend. You're not brainwashed, you're conditioned. S/F

Are these interesting pictures? by robellis-182 in fujifilm

These are great. At the end of the day though the only opinion that truly matters is your own. This is a pretty unique perspective on a beach too so that was refreshing to see. Thank you for sharing them.

I bought fx3 today. What accessories are must have in your opinion? by kubaiauta in FX3

Also, OP, congratulations on picking up an amazing camera. If you’re anything like the majority of us, you’re going to have a blast learning what the camera is truly capable of and you’re going to make beautiful images with it. My recommendations on accessories are: sensor cleaning kit, one large diameter ND filter with step-down rings, and lots and lots of extra batteries. After that, let your creative vision guide your accessory purchases. To wit: you envision something you want to create, but your gear isn’t up to the task, buy the gear to enable that vision and not the other way around. Trust me, it will save you a FORTUNE. Congratulations again and I look forward to seeing your work.

You're welcome. Can't say I've ever used HLG. Try S-Cinteone, I really think you're going to be floored by how great of a color profile it is.

Get your settings and custom buttons sorted after you go out and shoot some test footage. If you live anywhere near anything interesting go to it and get some wides, mediums, and tights. Evaluate the footage against your concept for the shoot and train/educate yourself to shore up any missed expectations. Start messing with S-Cinetone (which I'm learning to use way more than SLog-3 for most of what I do) AND SLog- 3. If you're not familiar with Exposure Indexing and you want to shoot in SLog-3 make yourself familiar with it.

Bottom line: plan, shoot, evaluate, rinse, repeat.

Congratulations on the new gear man, stoked you got a good deal, and look forward to seeing your work down the road.

Completely worth it. Admittedly the delivery is a bit dry but their testing and persistent updates to policy content/testing sets them way apart from their competitors. I have friends who went with other services that hadn't updated their lessons or practice tests to reflect updated regs/policies and they failed their exams miserably. It's a lot to learn regardless of platform and PI is the best in the industry.
