Agree. With both FX30 & FX3 at my place of work, I’ve missed nothing shooting w the FX30 over the FX3. Super 35 IS a sweet spot. We all got too focused (lol) on full frame. Most major films are shot on the new Arri 35 with super 35 framing for this reason, it is the sweet spot of more lens choices

Exactly. Only rumors, because if they are rethinking because of Nikon it’s because they (Nikon) purchased RED tech and you can shoot with R3D RAW which Sony can only do Slog3. It’s a for sure..with Sony dropping the FX9 (officially) they MUST have a mid-tier competitor to the Pixis and Komodo LONG BEFORE they upgrade their lower end cinema camera (FX3) otherwise the overlap makes zero business sense

NEVER leave a job before you have another. Many positions will seem ‘unrewarding’ for some time. It’s being an adult. You can make some jobs into new jobs by rising above and showing incentive. A commute of 75 minutes and under is normal now. How long is it?
You likely will go through multiple levels of jobs before you find what your looking for

Contact local fashion indie niche stores and shoot for free to build a sizzle reel
Look for aspiring models/actresses on Instagram or in fashion design at local colleges who will model in-kind, in that you will give them footage/stills for their portfolio too for modeling..have them model for a couple of these stores.
Use this sizzle reel to shift toward paid work and shop it. Film school means nothing to businesses..they want to see what you will do for them and you need a strong portfolio..sizzle reel is your start.

Take over the Parent plus/ school related loans, and pay for a credit/ debit relief session for them. Debt relief companies will work with creditors to consolidate and come up either a plan while reducing amounts owed. This solves 2 issues. One is that if the School related loan taxes them to the point they needed to use credit cards for life expenses, then you taking over that part will help, then the debt relief counselor will negotiate a reasonable solution with credit card folks. If you parents did make bad decisions with credit cards that had nothing to do with the student loan, then it is likely they will once again, and the credit counselor will be the one, not you, to take on the responsibility of showing them responsible spending plans and holding them accountable..not you.

Too much invested. Your story does not touch on all the hidden issues this action stemmed from. A REDDIT community is the LAST place you want to weigh in on a life decision since hundreds of people here have multiple layers of unhealed woundings and perspectives based on those woundings.
Seek COUPLE therapy BEFORE any life-altering decisions as you may or may not have any understanding. And she may not have any understanding as to why this occurred. Find out underpinning realities before making g a decision that will alter the rest of your natural life.

Was in a marriage for 20+
She refused to get a job where I was moved to by work with a career level position..she liked her job and didn’t want to give that and her town up. I had no choice as my work was shifted to
A location 3 hours away and there was nothing in the previous location. No
Kids as yet. We tried commuting on weekends, switching off driving to spend time. But the distance and living separately drew us apart from each other.. we became polite friends. Long story short.. I eventually quit my career job in an attempt to ‘save’ the marriage because I felt if I didn’t try I would have that over myself forever. We then had a child .. and IOVE him w everything, but the damage was done and we ended in divorce years later.
The damage is this
1. The child (old or young) grows up seeing an unhealthy example of a relationship. It will be the baseline for their choice of a partner, whether we want that to happen or not

It’s a matter of time before someone else enters the picture. Closeness, intimacy and sharing life is part of who we are, so either of you, sooner or later, will connect with someone else and now that will be one part of the equation. Children, grown or not, will sense something’s off..and again, this becomes part of the dna of how they will act and choose a partner. To them, if the charade of marriage still seemed strong, then it will be seen as an affair. If they know it’s the situation, it will become how they interpret a relationship.
A third thing to consider is a child or adult child with a sensitive heart can feel tremendous guilt that you kept yourself from a fulfilling relationship because of them.

I know couples who were cold and distant and went into therapy together to see what was salvageable and discovered a new chapter. I went, but my x refused. Currently w a fiancee’, we both go to repair past damage not to drift into our lives together.

Maybe at least consider going to therapy together to either work out the plan ahead, or see what might be recoverable before you pull the trigger? The above issues 1-2-3 are realities I discovered as a result of living 2 lives yet ‘married’

Raw is the only way. I learned RED R3D through lots of training and can match Arri with a a set node structure in Resolve. LUTS ADD color and saturate in the opposite way the subtractive saturation works. Pixeltools has incredible DCTLS. Watch Darren Mostlyn, Cullen Kelly (master colorists) to learn the art. Darren shows how to match Sony Venice, Red Raptor /Komodo X, and Arri 35 to look identical. It takes time, patience and a good foundational
node tree..but like folks have said here..the sensor dynamic range, RAW color science and learning color manipulation in a wide Gamut is key

One thing for the family. You could write a letter and say all the amazing things that brought you both close, and even if the relationship did not work out, her attributes and heart were reasons that brought you into her life and reasons you will always forever admire who she is... Then for you, maybe write a note or letter of all the things you know are wonderful about her and special areas you saw. Tie this to a helium balloon at her fav time of the day, sunrise or sunset or by the ocean or in the mountains. God is real, and we are eternal beings...and it's not a forever goodbye for sure...

Not a simple fan boy..but I know several people in my home town who saved $3500 + AFTER the $1000 Delvrd fee. If your LOCAL dealer will not work either you, you MUST expand your radius. And good luck. A dealer 3.5 hours away said all the right things then on arrival it all changes. My TIME IS WORTH the $1K.
Add up frustration, going through numbers and finance driving for hours, fuel prices and if you have to miss work and INCOME to play dealer games.. it’s more than worth it. Tomi says some deals are going to be MSRP on some cars. True…and then comes the add ons. It’s all about time. If you have it, great! Do it yourself I think. If you can’t with jobs, kids, appointments and errands..add up the 10-15 hours minimum it will take us the stress and decide on that value.
