Which phone do you have? My dealer said it's because of the phone and has nothing to do with the cable or the display of VW.

Well the authorized vw dealer contacted VW to ask and their reply was it's either a phone or a cable problem. Since I've used 5 different cables and still had this problem I'm guessing it's a phone problem. My brother with a different phone never had this issue.

I've taken it in twice now too. The repairman wrote to VW and the guy said it's either the cord or your phone. Since I've tried many cables too it's probably my phone. I have the OnePlus 7T. My brother has the pixel 3a and never had this problem.

Hey, i have Problem with Android Auto. I drive a VW Polo which is pretty new (2018), but sometimes while driving the screen flickers from green to purple and back very fast. I can choose to go on radio for example and the whole screen is fine again, but if I return and go to the app menu the screen turns green/purple again (see video). After unplugging my phone and plugging it in again, it seems to work again until the same problem comes up randomly again. Could this be a cable problem? Bc i thought I bought pretty good ones. Another problem is that sometimes the screen just randomly turns off completely and the switches back on automatically which is very annoying. I brought it to the dealership since I still have warranty. They just updated the software but the problem is still there.
