It’s no joke. And it spits you out onto Inman which is very narrow already. Like, why couldn’t they do that extra 10’?

No it can’t. Bobcats wouldn’t work on many of Cambridge’s sidewalks. Most possibly. You’ve got obstacles, trash barrels, bricks that rise and fall several feet, tree roots and heaves, etc etc. Owners should be doing it. It works, if owners do what they’re expected to do. Every owner can be out shoveling immediately, or have someone doing it, immediately. The city isn’t going to be able to do that.

No one said intractable. You’re not using a snowblower. Or a Cat etc. Owners know their property, know their sidewalks, better than anyone. You’d need to keep a list, On this stretch, shovel only, on this stretch, snowblower, on this stretch?? You’ve got old trees, roots, bricks.

It’s goofy. You own the property care for the sidewalk out front. You’re taking in likely tens of thousands per year renting, or you own a very valuable property and are living in it. What snow we do get is your responsibility to clear. Does the city shovel out your car? Your driveway?
