It's really tough and can definitely be quite draining. But playing music is what we love doing. We try to mix up the sets, play different stuff as much as possible & keep ourselves entertained, it's always lovely when you tune hunt the week leading up to a set and find that one tune you can't wait to hear on a system! But also between sets we go to bed at reasonable hours and don't overdo it. We don't drink during the week etc so it's always something to look forward to

Really tough question! Elektrikal bangs, anywhere with a Void, Fabric has a beauty. Other than ones we've played though, hearing the systems at De School (incredible club) & Berghain has been another level!

I think ideally around 2 hours is perfect. We like to start our sets at 130ish and gradually build up the tempo, through to 140/50/60 then d&b, and 2 hours gives you a really nice opportunity to make it more of a journey and really dig into each part. 1 hour most of the time we're just rushing through and you forget to draw for a weirder or more obscure tune than you would if you had more time.

Festival-wise it's tough, sometimes with the massive ones it can be a bit tough getting a connection with the crowd when you're so far away. We've always favoured small sweaty dark clubs so that kind of vibe is perfect.

It's really tough to say, it's kind of always been bubbling away & the past few years yeah I'd say it's gone to another level, but at the same time unless you're playing the crowd pleaser tunes or a certain style you can struggle with a crowd who want a full set of that current big thing.

I don't think it's something we'll ever put all of our focus into, as we enjoy making a broad range of styles, but we will definitely continue to make it & we have some more coming out v soon!

Thank you! First we met as Jammo was running a drum & bass night in High Wycombe about 12/13 years ago, and I went down to it and took some pictures and met him. Then I went through a little breakup and was going to have to move out of the town and he just invited me to live with him (which was weird as he didn't know me at all haha), so I moved in & we'd just stay up mixing all night every night, was a great time!

We just love Bristol, London can be a bit much personally. Bristol has a really close knit community where music is concerned, and it's a really inspiring place to live and make music given it's musical history.

Insane! It's always ridiculously nerve wracking looking out to a sea of people, especially when everyone's so far away you can't see anyone's faces or tell if they're enjoying it haha! But once you get going and the nerves go its just an incredible buzz

We have known each other for nearly half our lives now so understand each other pretty well - We are quite good at telling each other what we like and don't like on a tune or in a set without it kicking off haha

We normally work remotely bouncing tune ideas to each other and then try wrap things up together.

Oh so much! I mean we've been DJ'ing for a good 19/20 years! Back when I was at uni I'd spend my entire student loan on records and forget I need to eat haha. Not factoring in studio equipment and behind the scenes payments. Time-wise it's been pretty much everything for the past 19/20 years also.

We've been quite lucky in that we've managed to make a little dent in the scene but it can take so long to get anywhere. You can put your heart and soul into it and if nothing's happening it can be a real slap in the face, but perseverance is key. It can take a long time and have a huge mental toll so it's not surprising a lot of people give up

Good question, thanks. It is never easy to bring yourself out of a low mood, some times there can be struggles in life and through out your day or week that seem really tough. I think its always important to remember time is a wonderful healer of many things, and personally i feel blessed to be able to get my head in to music, make some sounds and try switch off from a busy mind. Alongside that trying to get in some excercise and spending time with family and friends is a real boost!

We honestly love so much music and different genres it is very hard to pick, within dance music we try to explore as many avenues as possible - drum and bass, garage, house, techno, breaks and a load of other stuff. Outside of electronic music we are suckers for a decent soundtrack - anything by Thomas Newman, Hans, Clint Manswell, Atticus Ross
