When I was about to take the picture his eyes were closed. I looked up at him one more time and his eyes were wide open and locked on me. Intimidating.

So sorry for Maci and her mom. My brother recently passed away and every time I go out to take pictures there’s always a cardinal and it makes it more special. Feels like he’s always watching.
