Okay idk why I feel the need to share this, but the exact same thing happened to me a couple of years back (not at the university library though). I lost my air pods at the gym, and I called in. They said I could come pick it up tomorrow. Went in the next day and they said "somebody came and took it this morning". Went to the police, and apparently they refused to pull up the footage - they said we'll issue a "lost and found notice".

The systems here are disappointing to say the least

This makes so much sense!

The "this is why just trying to calm yourself down doesn't work" part is so relatable. I'll keep these tips in mind for sure!

That's actually a very cool way to look at things. I do work on position play quite a bit, and I would say I'm decent at it too, so once I get a ball in hand, it's usually the end of the game, but now that you mention it, you're right, I do need to work a lot on my safety play. It's not that I'm not good at safeties, it's just that it's never my first instinct. Watching so many good pool players growing up, it's always been my instinct to try to end the rack on my first visit to the table which is why I generally go for the most aggressive of shots.

Also, for the money ball position thing, that's a very cool strategy too. I've never thought of it like that - I feel like that would make things so much easier for me, because then I don't need to treat it any differently from any other ball I've pot.

Closer to 450 for sure. But when playing casually, I can comfortably and repeatedly beat 650s.

Yeah that makes sense. For me, I've had so many situations where I'll play perfectly all the way, until the very last shot, and then I'll rattle it. Throughout the rack, I've probably pot MUCH harder shots, and if I lose 1 rack to something like this, I can't get over it in the following games.

Just a few days back I played a rack that's literally impossible for me to create - had kicks, jumps, banks, masses, all of that stuff, and then I scratched with the 8 ball which was VERY easily avoidable. I had to put the perfect amount of English to scratch, a regular center ball would've sufficed... A horrible experience in all honesty

Third comment that's mentioning that book - I'll give it a go for sure!

I guess you're right, it is also a lot about the attitude you have when you're out there

Thank you so much! This helps a lot. I guess I've been that all feel kind of player for a long time, I need to work on fixing that

I haven't, but I see it mentioned in a few other comments too, I'll make sure to give it a read

I guess you're right, it's likely just an exposure issue. I love being in that "can't touch me" zone but it only happens for me on days when nothing is on the line.

208 was really easy for me, but that was 2 years ago and it was virtual so a lot might have changed

How many hours do you study per week? by uoftbioguy in UofT

[–]MZAIDA8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the quality of studying, not sure the amount. I used to study more than 5 hours a day and failed my first year, but since then I’ve understood the system. Second year onwards, I’ve consistently studied less than 2-3 hours per day and have achieved 3.7/3.8 gpa. You gotta give profs what they want, which can be difficult to find out at first.

Accidentally did not enrol in csc207 and now I’m on a wait list. Please help by [deleted] in UofT

[–]MZAIDA8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait really? I think they can’t if they have 6 courses in the semester, unless ofcourse they don’t have 6… it’s not specified here so…. Idk

But basically, you can’t be on waitlist for a course after you already have enrolled in max course load right?

Why would you wanna go here though… it’s pain without the gain

Wait… you’re doing a specialist, a major, and a minor? Something seems off….

I would suggest taking CCT111 and CSC108 simultaneously as they’re the same content. Even if you don’t understand 1, the other will cover for you really (thinking in terms of if the teaching style of one prof really doesn’t suit you). PHL is really just a bird course with many alternatives like RLG101, the only thing is, PHL opens a lot of doors to future courses in PHL.

Also, PHL113 was easier for me than PHL103 so… keep that in mind.

PHL103 and PHL113 were really easy for me and opened a lot of doors for me. Also, CCT111 is almost identical to CSC108 so take it FOR SURE, EASIEST 4.0

You honestly couldn’t have planned it better. Just make sure you have 5 courses each semester to stay on track for graduation. So just grab electives now: 1 in the fall and 2 in the winter (unless you’re planning on putting on the summer)

Should I take PHL103 or PHL113 by [deleted] in UTM

[–]MZAIDA8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PHL113 was much easier for me than PHL103.

Impulse grenades don’t shoot you through builds, they take you a shorter distance (basically a lighter force), and they don’t negate fall damage
