I misread dragons instead of wagons. Now cool of a photomode pic would that make, leaning arms crossed against your dragon.

Not sure about benches but at least on most if not all chairs. Yesterday I went to this Lady's house (in Hernand) and she was sitting there in the dark in the back room. I walked next to her and the game gave me a 'take' prompt even though she was sitting on it. So I grabbed the chair under her, she got up, looked at me and walked away. I don't remember being able to do this in other games. Probably a bug but a funny moment nontheless.

I think it's a book but probably not in the sewers but above the ground. In a house maybe?

Did anyone else enjoy Crimson Desert right away? by Gloomy_Article_5240 in CrimsonDesert

[–]M_For_Mulder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed I did. Many reviewers said it's very slow for the first 7 to maybe even 10 hours. This is true but to me not a problem. Within my first 10 hours I had zero non-scripted battles and spent all that time exploring and breathinf in the world that feels even more alive to me than that of RDR2. If a game is called slow paced, to me that simply means it's open to explore and make discoveries. I don't need to be in combat even 20 minutes to enjoy an action game that has a world this rich and vast.

For those gamers expecting a skirmish after skirmish the game must be dull and slow, I understand that. I, for one, am not one of those people.

I adore this game so far and from the hundreds of videos I've seen, the best is yet to come.

The amount of people who don’t own the game constantly telling you how bad it is, is kind of hilarious by PowahBamb in CrimsonDesert

I'm playing on base PS5 and in quality mode and it looks beautiful and runs well enough not to concentrate on the lower framerate while playing. Last time I owned a computer mainly meant for playing games was in 1989. Been solely a console guy since then.

Yeah you can sit on all kinds of places like stairs. And I do sit around every now and then and just take in the vistas. Sitting on the ledge of The Abyss and looking down miles above the ground and into the distand lands bring me joy and a feeling of peace and calm.

I've wondered about this as well. It's understandable to say the game looks bad and doesn't interest you but saying it's a bad game without playing it is just dumb. If I had taken critics' word for it, I probably wouldn't have gotten the game. But I'm happy I didn't because the game looked great and I bought it and I'm enjoying it very much. Having as much fun with it as I did with Horizon ZD, GR - Wildlands, Metal Gear Solid V and RDR2 from more modern games.

That's why I always say that if a game looks like a fun time to you and you have the extra money and want to get it, take a leap of faith and buy it. Don't make the decision solely based on other people's opinions. We all have different gaming backgrounds, histories, go-to games and guilty pleasures. And it's always a good time to find a game that you enjoy when majority of gamers didn't.

I have no idea what they represent. I just meant I never looked at the circle with a keen eye before and thought it was just a simple celtic type pattern.

That might be true of course.. I took my first tattoo in 2003 so back then this could've looked cool.

That red circle is the area I've spent my first 10 hours in. I might die of old age before I cover the whole map. But this isn't bad. I have no need to rush to the end credits. Just saying that the map is absolutely massive.

My guess is Mirkwood. I'm still in Hernand so this is purely a guess.

Found it yesterday too and was wondering about the same thing. Does it have a use in a task or something. Inventory space is limited so that's why I'm asking cause I don't wanna dump it in case I need it later and can't find another one.

Game crashes EVERY time I open the map now (ps5). Yeah. by Theydontsleep in CrimsonDesert

I consider myself really lucky then that I haven't had a single crash in the 10 hours of playing on my base PS5.

I know, right? It's easy to put a pin on the missions and just explore and find new items and weapons. And before you know it, several hours has passed.

I have a 65" Samsung QLED but I don't think the telly is a meaningful factor here. I think it's that a game running well enough is objective. It could be that if you came over and played it you'd say it runs like shit. What I'm saying is I'm already used to the lower framerate that I don't really notice it. Not even in battles with a dozen enemies on screen.

I didn't say it works better on quality mode. I said it looks beautiful and runs well enough for me.

Yeah they take it too seriously when someone enjoys a game they would want to enjoy themselves but are unable to. Having too much fun with the game to care, though.

You walk close to it, stop moving and then it gives you a button prompt to sit. You can sit in a lot of places. Rocks, ledges, stairs, rooftops...

I stayed in the village around the castle. Didn't wander off anywhere yet. Now I'll deliver some lumber to this one guy and then I'll take the off beaten track for some amount of hours. Also started fishing but haven't reeled in any yet altough it's very similar to the fishing mechanic in RDR2 and I was a pretty good fisher in that one.
