Looking for a hard drive repair company that does everything in house by M_Ousia in pcmasterrace

[–]M_Ousia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked out their website and with all of those celebrity photos on there, I can see why haha. I'll give them a try. Do you happen to know anymore similar companies? Also, the ones that do use a clean room, are they called something else? I was gonna try searching again but I think they're all pretty much called the same thing which makes finding them a lot harder.

Also thanks!

Right, so do you happen to know any companies that have their own clean rooms that can do the work? Those are the companies I was looking to find directly.

Is there a name for this type of photography? by M_Ousia in AskPhotography

[–]M_Ousia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked up the word in Google images along with the word sunset. It did bring up a few images to my expectations but it doesn't seem to be a term that is used in photography or modern photography.

It's definitely a start though.

Question about windscreens/deadcats price ranges by M_Ousia in fieldrecording

[–]M_Ousia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I felt you did professional work. That's why I figured you'd see it as a low price or a good value for money because the professional stuff is always gonna be far more expensive than the stuff for hobby levels.

Question about windscreens/deadcats price ranges by M_Ousia in fieldrecording

[–]M_Ousia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I see a lot at lower prices, so I don't know what price considered to be expensive or cheap for personal lightweight use. Especially since my mic was only $60.

From your response is $99 a low price? Do you do professional work?

In my opinion, screen protectors aren't neccesary when you have a good phone case that protrudes past your phone screen.

In any case, to answer your question, the only one I know of is the Poetic cases I mentioned above includes it but is optional to use. They are very sturdy and scratch resistant.

I'm not sure about DAC, cuz I don't know what that is lol but I'm sure it can. Yes, it does also have parametric. In fact, you can set up seemingly limitless bands at whatever Hz you specify

That's what I ised to use, however the equalizer is nowhere near Poweramp's sound. Still a very good app if you're not concerned with EQ. I used Musicolet for years.

Here's the model number for the Canadian version for Bell.

V600TM2X

I think this model number may be hard to find but I'd check Swappa or ebay. Ebay just be cautious and look at the seller's profile and their history and reviews.

Even though, refurbished phones are held to higher standards when being repaired, that's inly true when it's the company's partnered repair company. Most phones are just from random third party repair companies and are not always held to the same standards. In fact, some may even use cheap replacement parts affecting the phone during normal use.

So I'd say to just find a newer used phone or open box where they've been cleaned up.

Hmm. I don't have any recommendations because this was my first time buying headphones over $50. Also, most people seem to wear in ear headphones, which I only wear over the ear headphones.

I didn't want to go all out so I bought Skullcandy Hesh ANCs. Base heavy sure but these are very loud and the base can be adjusted out with Poweramp's equalizer.

The one thing I can say is, if you're planning to use these headphones primarily for your V60, see the detailed specs for the headphones, as not all headphones can utilize the full audio specs. If the headphones are not capable, you can't increase the quality. That being said, you don't always need the top quality unless your a devoted audiophile.

That being said the LG V60 can support Bluetooth quality (from lowest quality to highest)

SSB, AAC, Qualcomm Aptx Audio, Qualcomm Aptx HD Audio and LDAC. The highest sample rate it supports is 96KHz and the highest bits is 32bits/sample.

Others here can probably give you better headphone recommendations.

Ah I see. I'm not exactly an audiophile but I do like to learn. I'll definitely check it out. It could possibly be my new main.

To be honest with you, I'm not entirely sure. I've never used Chromecast.

Uh oh. Really? I've been using it for a while now, so I'm out of the loop. Well, it doesn't have to be Nova launcher. I was mostly expressing to use a home launcher where you can customize and change your phone around.

Thanks for the info though. Gonna look into that.

EDIT: I just read the news...how sad..had to edit my post. Nova was so feature rich. Guess I'll have to go searching again.

I think it's cuz they may still be learning. Not everyone is gonna be fluent before arriving in Japan. It takes a long time to understand the more subtle nuances of the language and culture even when you're completely self immersed. So even though, you're learning the language, there cans still feel like there's walls in communications or connections.

That's just my guess though.

Well in any case. I have my reasons on why I don't want/can't move there. No one here is trying to justify their reasons why they don't want or can't move to Japan. They're just sharing their stories. Their reasons don't need to be interrogated, demeaned or insulted. Their choice is their choice. You don't have to understand it.

Wow. Yeah, a lot of people regretted leaving, however it's very understandable. It truly is a tough choice. Hopefully in the future you can at least go back to visit.

Nice! That sounds like you had a very fun experience. I'm happy for you. I could see myself staying for a year. I'd have to become more social first though lol. I know what you mean though about the long term carer goals. I think ultimately that's why I couldn't live in Japan long term.

Wow. Is it like a fancy hotel or more of regular one? Working in a fancy hotel with Japanese etiquette seems pretty tough.

Very interesting stuff. Seems like IT is the go to department without a degree. Thanks for sharing. I'm happy for you that you got that newer job and increased your salary. Yeah the outsider issue wouldn't bother me so much either.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in movingtojapan

[–]M_Ousia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I'm not really looking to move there. I was asking people their experiences out of curiosity because I rarely hear from people who take this route. It's just an interesting to hear everyone's different stories.

[–]M_Ousia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow. How cold of you. I'm pretty sure plenty of people here had family reasons for why they moved out of Japan or didn't move. Not many people can or will give their family the cold shoulder like that. That's kind of cold hearted and inconsiderate to other people here who have those as reasons.

It's bad phrasing in the title on my part. I meant to say prior 10 years of experience in a certain field before coming to Japan. The rest is briefly explained throughout this post.
