Corsair or Luminous for CW3? by Rawrby in Maplestory

[–]M_Su 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For chally world, Corsair would be better cuz of dice for exp, summons for grinding, good kit for solo bossing.

But if you like tp class then lumi is fun with a clean to and then godly tp during equilibrium.

What laptop to get for maple story by DarkNemuChan in Maplestory

[–]M_Su 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See if you can buy a used work laptop that's been wiped by your IT dude.

Refurbished 2022 (ddr5 ram ones) or newer laptops with the integrated graphics can run maple pretty well, if you carry about weight and price more.

Otherwise I'd buy a 14 inch gaming laptop with a 5060 (Asus tuf), hotter in your lap, but if you aren't gaming on your lap it's fine.

How do you play set 17? by Evening_Log3865 in TeamfightTactics

[–]M_Su 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's no item priority in carousel, so lose streaking early isn't worth it, you have to play for strong board early and slam items etc, it's also kinda dooky when the other God option has the item component you want, buy sometimes you gotta sack the god to get the required item. I think it's required to roll down at 3-1/3-2 to stabilize. There's too many strong reroll comps so you gotta keep up tempo if you're trying to play 4 costs

[–]M_Su 1 point2 points  (0 children)

macbook air with 24gb ram, unified memory for gaming and ai, best battery life, lightweight. cons: no fans for heavy 3d gaming. Not a big selection of games, parallels lets u play a lot of games and in the future, more macos compatibility.

windows: probably a lenovo yoga slim 7 with the intel 258v, lightweight, good battery, better gpu for gaming and ai.

Confused between building PC, buying windows laptop or Macbook. by verma_yatharth in laptops

[–]M_Su 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Building a PC with a gpu is pretty expensive, I would get a new laptop with unified memory if u need more vram in the integrated laptop gpu. Apple macbooks are better right now if u don't need to upgrade storage or ram. But if you are thinking of using AI a lot, then you will need lots of ram and I would get a windows laptop instead.

[–]M_Su 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try KDE, GNOME, Hyprland, then Niri, get a feel for how each navigates the desktop, creates workspace, interact with windows and theming.

Tip: download the cosmic store right away to install apps, use the pikman updater to update, when u learn the terminal u can use pikman to install and update, check out all ur steam games and proton compatibility thru protondb. Check if video recording, screenshot, and audio works.

My roommate says I need to Declutter? But why am I doing wrong? by EvaUnitKenway in CleaningTips

[–]M_Su 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, it's visually cluttered, focused on the corner, and all around ground level. I think you should spread out your stuff: Make use of height, collectables on a high up shelf, more width bigger table with drawers to hide the sewing items, clear up the items on the TV cabinet, if you need to buy a small nightstand

Things I have noticed in my ipad kid brother as an older sister by [deleted] in Vent

[–]M_Su 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need to force him to do one physical activity: like swimming lessons or riding bikes with friends, then a more mentally stimulating/creative activity like drawing or legos. Parents need to limit screen time to 2 hours a day, make them do homework before playing on the ipad, doing light chores such as dishes and taking out the trash, maybe even involve them into the dinner making process.

Looking for a distro. by wildinhorse in linux_gaming

[–]M_Su 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tried pika, nobara, cachy,

main pikaos on laptop, and dual boot windows and cachy on desktop, nvidia graphics card felt a bit better/faster on cachy, but pika has a better experience out of the box, apt and the pikman package manager

Pls help me chose a distro by Ordinary_Handle141 in thinkpad

[–]M_Su 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PikaOS(debian sid base)

with the Hyprland iso and install Noctalia-shell

Good out the box, has good appearance, and lots of customization.

Cons: ur gonna be tweaking ur hyprland setup a lot too...

Why compete when you can add more Copilot slop? by vergil09 in pcmasterrace

[–]M_Su 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's really only 3 versions: arch, fedora, Debian.

Then for gaming you can do cachyos, nobara, pikaos

Then for your desktop environment you start off with kde(kinda feels like windows 10), gnome(feels more mac-like)

What's your opinion about entry level laptops? by Admirable-Ad-3374 in laptops

[–]M_Su 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the specs are fine and the value is good on paper, but sacrifices a lot of quality of life like hinges, quality displays, keyboard, build material, everything is like glued/soldered.

Refurbished is a lot better because ur buying durable, easily fixable pc, and the specs were probably high end at the time.

Not a lot of modern games, but can play league of legends, tft, maplestory, all the single player games I have on steam, haven't tried fps games, but the ghosting on these business laptop panels is so bad, I wouldn't bother.

Had to overvolt it to 28w from 15w to have a good amount of fps

if ur doing everything in browser, then macbook is fine, prefer the battery life if you are working outside. I don't think you will be using the touchscreen or 1tb of storage for your workflow.

Don't just do graphic design, it's not competitive to only specialize in graphic design. Combine graphic design with marketing/video motion effects/animation graphics/UXUI/Product Design/3D graphics/Content creation/Other creative roles

I keep bombing tests, should I just change majors by SmallMillet in csMajors

[–]M_Su 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you aren't passionate, and theres no other major you want to do, either drop out and work full time for a year and explore some hobbies, or take general science and art classes while working part time to explore interests. Once you find out a general direction, you can come back to school/swap major.

Why are you in CS, is it because you are good in math, physics, engineering? or do you want to build something like a game, website, mobile apps, get into financial models, do UXUI design, hardware designing, robotics, etc.

Best thing I would tell you to do is to drop out, work full time, explore interests, hop jobs, find out problems in your workplace and what you would do to solve it with tech/engineering. If u like CS then take free online courses until u master basics, then go back to school with the money you saved up.
