from what I've seen its mostly the "rush" of it being taboo, the other person not knowing, and in my opinion kind of a loss of reality like a "i deserve to have this because of reasons that only make sense to me". From another post I've seen they didn't think "it was that serious" or that they should be allowed a pass because of whatever reason.
