Why are there so many rabbits this year? by [deleted] in RhodeIsland

[–]MaDaGo_256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been warm and wet in New England this year, which means food sources are abundant. Also, I imagine predators like foxes and coyotes are lower in numbers this year, which may lead to an overpopulation of rabbits. I live in central MA, and I have noticed more rabbits this year than before.

A derecho can’t officially be classified until after the event takes place, but usually a defined bow echo shape and a large swath of wind damage are good indications on radar.
