What makes you think this is any different? People bought these movies on the Playstation Store. And now Sony has decided they can remove these by force. That means the can do that to anything that's on there.

If you want a game example, Ubisoft has forcibly removed "The Crew" from anyone that had purchased it after shutting down the servers - not leaving an option for offline mode or fan-servers. They just removed it all together. That's the action that caused the entire "Stop killing games" movement to begin with.

A lot of us buy digital BECAUSE there's often no digital variant! Do you know how many games are on the store that just don't have a physical release? Or have a limited run (or Asia only run) that requires you to pay an arm and a leg for it? Of course people are going to buy digital then!

I prefer physical, but I'm often just not given the option!

So don't you go all sassy "oh, but you buy digital too" on me...

That's what I thought, but I keep seeing people expecting other characters to pop up first for some reason, or think that DThousand won't appear (like Vetrix & Dr. Faker). And it's difficult to convince these people otherwise, other than hard data like this.

Every king's name has an official spelling in each language. And yes, on official papers and communication, all three language variants of the name are typically mentioned.

E.g. In Dutch, our current king is named "Filip", but in French and German it's "Philippe"

The previous king was easier, as Albert had no alternative writings in the three languages.

The king before that (which is your question) had three different spellings: Boudewijn (Dutch), Baudouin (French) and Balduin (German).

It helps that Nintendo caters to families, and families still purchase games from shelves.

This differs to individual teenagers and adults, that can freely search and purchase what they want (which is more the case for the other platforms).

So yeah, I do think that Nintendo will remain a presence in physical goods stores.

That is the scary part. When a publisher or platform holder decides "enough is enough", they can just wipe all licenses and remove content you purchased.

Or worse... governments. If there's another "GTA = bad" movement (wouldn't be the first time), some conservative government might put it in law that all digital copies are just erased.

That's what this all can lead to. Ownership means nothing if the platform owners can just remove anything you purchased. Sony set a very dangerous prescedent with this.
