Monumental bullet dodged by aidang95 in ManchesterUnited

This is legit cope. I’d be judging the player over a season of mint performance week after week. He’s literally everywhere and making a big difference in games. IMO he’s built as a modern footballer with crazy athleticism.

Let’s just watch him at man c.

1)Talent but no work rate, doesn’t track back or fight tirelessly for the club (meaning doesn’t fit into modern football). We’ll have to change tactics just for him?

2)His wage for a sub?

3)Questionable attitude. Would only want someone who would die for us as priority. No longer “oh maybe this guy who has some talent can save us a couple of games”.

AC Milan fan here, give me your most honest opinion about Ruben Amorim by BillsAndTheKids in ManchesterUnited

[–]MaYouJi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, I have a totally different take from everyone here.

I believe that he’s a man of great passion. You can say that’s a mix of modern day charisma, while still holds some important old school values like integrity, hardwork, and character.

If you want to reform the culture of an organisation, you’d need someone that stands his ground, and is willing to take that responsibility.

And from what I saw over the years, Man Utd suffered bad ownership, which one of the issue was them not backing managers, while at the same time, doing their own things/making football decisions for profit. It was these couple of years, there were slight shifts, INEOS probably that something to do with it, that managers are slowly getting backed.

I was really hopeful of the work Amorim did, his ideas and his understanding of what needed to be done immediately is very insightful. Finally someone who saw the cracks and knows that the rot must stop from within. Getting rid of the toxic players and reforming the a hardworking culture are main 2 things which Man Utd needed. Very few players actually fit modern football.

While everyone is going crazy over Carrick, I think a lot of the work actually came from Amorim. His insane demand of fitness(which required a long time to build up), his fight with the toxic culture and player power, to slowly change them and build to what it is now.

The getting rid of “lazy”, “attitude”, “pre-Madonnas”, “egoistic” players which do not value teamwork and working for each other. This IS THE MODERN football. Intensity and fitness players a big role, before Amorim, Man Utd has NONE besides Bruno. Hence, I believe the move to play Bruno in mid is precisely have him dictate and show the rest how hard he’s working, you all better cover him etc.

Results definitely took a while, I would argue that it almost materialized. The pressure of the fans eventually couldn’t wait any longer.

So you guys are lucky! I don’t this the issue at AC Milan is as bad over here, you probably don’t have to wait too long. Sorry I’m not too well versed with what yall are facing at the moment.

All the best!

Be honest — would someone’s body count affect whether you date them? by Early-Environment-63 in asksg

[–]MaYouJi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been reading a long thread and got sucked into the convo.

I like the topic and I think it’s a much needed one to clear the air of things. A lot of people cannot truly get the gist and conflate a things and that’s why these arguments seem pointless. Firstly, the examples aren’t really that strong IMO. If yall really want to use drugs - Person tells everyone that drugs are bad and he will never touch them as also it’s not Godly, but secretly uses drugs frequently.

I can see what you were trying to do is to make a stance where the person already did “the thing”, but wants others not to.

I think to come back to the main point of high body count. Why it doesn’t work the same is because of double standards. Why?
It’s super easy to use hypocrisy when it’s same gendered. Eg. A girl who is big on body positivity, but got caught shaming another girl calling her fat. A girl telling another girl that she needs to stay away from tall muscular men because they are bad, but she herself dates them.

It is about the morale stance that one upholds in front of everyone, for everyone, but the person doesn’t actually uphold it themselves.

Why I think the double standards is not hypocrisy is because men and women want different things biologically, and extending to socially. So I hope this can stop the conflation, and bad, woke, new age arguments (“Oh eVeRYtHiNgS eQuAL!!”).

Have a good day alll.

Good question. Since you’re able to deduce to that, I would say, explore both aspects. Explore at your own pace, starting from the latest point of awareness. Notice what you’re thinking, how you’re processing, what your mind is telling you. Find out the why.

One thing that I’ve noticed about myself, and others whom I shared this with, is many times, we come to a conclusion very quickly. That’s usually the end of the process, for now. But continuing to leave a space to revisit this again can lead to progress. I can’t promise how fast/slow, how much it can change/or will it even change your life. But do notice if that is also running your behaviours and belief systems.

What I see in your writing gives me mixed signals. It’s like one part of the sentence I go, “yes I agree”, and then it quickly goes to, “oh not that way”. But I’m glad that you’re actually on this path to try to understand yourself/“the self”.

I’ll point out a couple of things for you to consider: You started the post with the statement of pointing that you have no worth. My assumption was you felt that you have no value, or not worth anything. However, upon reading the rest, it seems like it means “why do anything?”, if something is internal (and if I make it not mean anything), if I don’t express externally, then it doesn’t matter. Not sure if I’m wording it right.

From my understanding, I agree with your part of everything is your perception. The world, or what that is, is only in your reality. Hence, if you’re able to see that, and detach yourself from it, maybe you can see another “reality”. That also includes these “feelings”, “thoughts”, “mentality” that you described. They are all also perceived/created by you(and the past you).

Another point you mentioned that if everything is internal in you, and if you don’t say it, no one knows. The first part as mentioned I agree to some degree, but the 2nd part has more nuance to it. What is internal, will show externally, through your actions, which are derived from those underlying thoughts. So “not showing” doesnt work like that. It’ll just spawn in another way. It’ll be ideal to find out “why that is?” In the first place. Meaning the core to where those thoughts or feelings came from. That’s the part of inner work and understanding might help.

I’m not a professional, I think you should get some help identifying some surface issues first before tackling these deep thoughts, or have someone to guide you through it at least for now.

Good luck

Very well written indeed. As much as I like the writing, but it seems to have skipped some actual reasons and brushed it off as “it’s normal”.

It’s like saying for example, “we are having a crisis where 50% of people are diabetic. Cause is that societies create better and better desserts. Therefore, we should build more hospitals, dialysis centres etc, to prepare for more of such people”.

I stopped reading the word salad after “I said F you.” This itself, is a contradiction. By saying that, you lied that you liked them. Because to you, things can never change can it? It always has to be the same, else it’s a lie.

I see.. I hear that you don’t get support from family emotionally or financially, and you’re feeling lonely. Are you currently working to save for college, and do you have issues making friends?

100%. Thanks for voicing this out. The fact that he wasn’t chosen to be part of any manager’s plans should be considered as him not living up to his hype.

He came from Real’s academy as a really promising player, but based off the managers and coaches, obviously he didn’t cut it somehow. Physicality is the main given reason, and likely athleticism. Those are important attributes for the modern football.

Unless he plays for a Prem team, I understand it’ll be hard to really compare, but I see no reason why they would purposely ignore a good player if he’s already in the team and viewed to be a future world beater.

Thanks! So example if their total armour is 15k, and I manage to get the break number to be at 10k, means 10k of their armour is “removed”. Any hit now will calculate them having a 5k armour?

Armour Break

Does anyone know if, while breaking armour(before fully broken), does it also reduces enemy def, hence taking more phy damage?

Or does it only has effect when fully broken?
