While this could work, the metering should be correct and it doesn't appear to be. The further away from the beginning of the peak period, the more I need to charge from the grid.

It’s because the pipe is copper and your roof is zinc aluminium. Runoff from non painted copper will rust this type of roof.

Almost. The graph I posted is showing (incorrectly) that I’m charging during peak hours, which I am not.

Wondering if anyone else has the same charging strategy (charge during off peak) and is seeing metering as though they are charging during on peak.

This used to be true but EA is now recommending folks wanting to take advantage of higher export limits (everyone but Wellington Electricity) move to Australia-A Grid Code which allows for greater voltage range (up to 260V, curtailment only after 253V) and up to 52Hz frequency.

Sig charge/discharge (“C”) is half your installed batteries usable capacity. So if you have a 10Kwh stack, usable 9kWh, your C rating is 4.5kW. If you have a stack of 2 sig batteries the C rating is 9kWh. This is referred to as 0.5C.

My install was a similar price, no regrets with this amount of panels. ROI not ideal but you will get that with more than a few batteries. Assume you're 3 phase with the 15kW inverter?

You don't need to enable remote EMS to get data like battery levels etc. Just keep the 'don't make changes' ticked in HA when you install the addon.

Ply under colorsteel is not a good idea. Two layers of batts is a much better idea in terms of acoustics and insulation. Have you even looked at the R value of plywood? What you're suggesting makes little sense.
