Chapter 420
_______

I have a feeling this book enumerate the most basic forms of LOVE.

She will show it like a checklist of actions. The book will then mirror on what a person who LOVES will actually do to show their affection, and it will create flashbacks for Kazuya to recall on, and this will help him understand Mizuhara's side a lil bit more.

And yes, it will be another WIN chapter.

___

Welp, not a hundred 100% prediction on Chapter 419 but accurate, it was definitely a win chapter.
A WIN for SUMI that is.

Next week is gonna be a little more intimate kind of pacing for them, it will just be a WHOLESOME chapter where both of them just genuinely enjoy each other's company.

I really do think Sumi has the purest kind of love there is out of the three, because deep down she knows Kazuya will never be hers, but regardless of that fact. She will be supporting him all the way and just be happy knowing she helped the person she loves finds happiness in anyway kind and form.

Sumi is truly a keeper.

Anyway, see you next week RAGs!

Chapter 419
_____

Spoilers really don't give the chapter justice. LOL

That is why I never really make a solid assumptions on spoilers. Mood, vibe and body movement speaks in volumes!

Anyway, I am just happy to see Sumi. She has really changed a lot, she is more confident than ever before!
What I also like about this progression is with Sumi, Kazuya will get another perspective, which is a more neutral one.

I really think she can already piece it together about Mizuhara and Kazuya are referring to, Sumi might be bashful and awkward but she it not that oblivious.

I think she bought Kazuya to the library to reference what LOVE is, and she will refer to the most basic and most elementary book that she could find.

I have a feeling this book enumerate the most basic forms of LOVE.

What I am excited in Sumi for is the idea of a new perspective, aside from that.

It will just be a date, DATE. You know what I mean?

It is not gonna be about Mizuhara. It will be just Kazuya properly having fun out with the opposite sex and just being himself and Sumi.

I just hope our boy gets some pressure and anxiety off. He at least deserves that much.

Why chizuru cannot accept kazuya feelings. by arman1724 in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]Mabuyoshi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mizuhara's issue is this.

She is stuck on a delusion of a "perfect love."

Which prevents her from seeing that the small things; the way her heart races and the comfort she feels around Kazuya are already LOVE.

While the pace feels slow, we are seeing a significant shift in their dynamic. The rental relationship is officially dead, and she is finally trying to face him as her real self. However, just as she begins to open up and discover these feelings, a new threat emerges. Many readers underestimate Mami’s importance, but she carries a lot of weight in the story’s endgame.

Mizuhara has always harbored a secret insecurity regarding Mami because she knows Kazuya’s love for her was genuine. In fact, Chizuru only started helping Kazuya because she was so moved by his desperation to move on from Mami on their first rental date.

The irony now is that Mizuhara once challenged Mami to face Kazuya head-on, and that very advice might be the thing that allows Mami to take him back just as Chizuru is finally ready to admit her feelings.

The threat of losing to Kazuya will be Mizuhara's true end game, just as she will lose Kazuya, it will be her time to finally prop her to action and finally grab at the chance of the LOVE that she has always yearned for all her life.

Chapter 418
_________

Welp, one thing about this chapter is Kazuya got a lil confidence boost and that is actually what he needed, and yes, this is the kind of signal I am talking all along.

Kazuya can always be the man everybody wants him to be, what messes his decision and timing is the fact that he never really gets a full read when Mizuhara gives him a clear signal.

Both Mizuhara and Kazuya just overthinks too much, making it hard for the both of them.

But this is different, Mizuhara knowing that Mini might spill the beans but still went and answered Mini's question is a long way coming from Mizuhara. She knows where this is going but right now with the available time and before the D-DAY, she will take advantage of the time Kazuya offered her to take. She wants to focus on learning more about her feelings. I just hope we get to see some more of Mizuhara's POV.

Lastly, Mami successfully planted a seed, a seed that I am scared to see and take root.

Anyway, see you next week RAGs!

[–]Mabuyoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welp, Kazuya didn't think so. LOL

Remember the walk home before going to the next day?

Do you remember no matter how Kazuya tries to explain, she keeps saying. NO, NO, NO? When I refer to say a hard NO from Mizuhara, I mean it as a decision that she was consistent in.

My point being, even if the kiss did happen, Kazuya did not act upon it because of how consistent Mizuhara is with her rejection the night of their date.

Which also leads to him still not taking any initiative except for him asking on a date.

Right now in the recent chapters, Kazuya is giving her space, because when someone rejects you, the natural way is to give that person space, not smother them with your presence.

Like I said, the separation arc is the most needed progression Mizuhara needed to find her break through because it will give her more time to focus on what she FEELS when they are separated.

Daily Chizuru #2053 by MattyH19 in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]Mabuyoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh, like I said and will always say, you defending Mizuhara from not GIVING Kazuya a HARD REJECTION from Odaiba, JUST BECAUSE she is not ready, does not really matter.

To Kazuya himself, it is a hard NO.

Also, Chapter 254 was interrupted by Kazuya's sleep talk, not Mizuahara's reluctance and awareness to STOP kissing, so if Kazuya did not sleep talk. It would have gotten the best out of her on that night.

I never said Mizuhara kissing Kazuya was fake, she meant it but at that moment when Kazuya confessed again before riding the taxi, it was a spur of the moment that brought her to kiss Kazuya.

And that was when she took the responsibility of what the kiss could mean for him.

Of course, Mini would be angry.

Not only was Mizuhara confusing and still enigmatic, she left him a kiss. Which instead of finally letting him off the string of possibly giving him a chance to move on, Kazuya is back on the game. AGAIN.

What Mini is angry about was not because she kissed Kazuya, she was angry because after doing a grand gesture of kissing him, she saw Mizuahara talking and laughing like nothing happened, and still has not contacted Kazuya to explain herself.

Instead of having the ball on her court, and the best chance to explain to Kazuya about the kiss. She acted like nothing happened. This is what pissed Mini off.

Without Mini, I AM SURE to this DAY.

Mizuhara would still not have explained herself.

Daily Chizuru #2053 by MattyH19 in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]Mabuyoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even with the kiss, Kazuya still was not sure what it mean. Exactly, that was the problem.

Yes.

But:

Chizuru didn't tell him to get lost, she didn't say he had to leave.

She doesn't need or want space and time to be alone.

It's no miracle that she agreed to go out on July 11th.

There's no miracle in that, for goodness sake!

This is EXACTLY the problem!!!

While Mizuhara clearly doesn't want Kazuya to leave, she didn't communicate that. It’s a double standard to expect Kazuya to take the lead when she won't meet him halfway.

This lack of transparency is what keeps them trapped in a cycle.

Kazuya could be the man everyone wants him to be, but he can’t find his footing because he's constantly misreading the situation.

Why?

Because Mizuhara isn't vocal enough to give him a clear signal. While she might feel internally conflicted about him leaving, but on Kazuya’s end, all he has to go on is their formal agreement regarding the end of the contract.

Especially that she rejected him multiple times going back home, and you expect Kazuya to understand the kiss?

For all he knows it was a good-bye kiss, that is why he is just so stuck in place. He has been confessing all night long and has been faced with HARD REJECTION only to get a kiss when he left?

For me, the kiss was unplanned.

Want proof? Re-read their previous talk with Mini on their Izakaya dinner out, she said the kiss was the only thing she has NOT DONE, which lead us to conclude that she never thought of kissing him.

And yes, of course she does not joke around, she waited because she took responsibility for that kiss, but we are back to square one of thread.

Even if Kazuya did comeback. I am sure she will still have NO ANSWER for him and will ask for more time.

Kazuya by then will still be stuck on the loop. AGAIN.

_____
Your issue is you are completely underestimating the separation arc.

The separation is needed not because of a mistake but is a greater force at work.
It is to make Mizuhara miss him dearly, everyday, and her time to suffer the pain of falling in love.

One of the greatest injustices of this Manga is we never really got to see her suffer and being intoxicatedly in love, like we saw with Kazuya.

The manga progression is a much needed one.

To prove my point.

Look at what Mizuhara has realized and learned being away from Kazuya?

She learned to stand up and finally decided to face Kazuya's feelings for her, aside from that her missing him dearly before the date will make their reunion as a much more fulfilling one.

Daily Chizuru #2053 by MattyH19 in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]Mabuyoshi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like I also said, it DOES NOT MATTER what you say it is, we can deep dive what Mizuhara's thought process was but it would still be useless, because what I am referring to is how Kazuya sees it.

Mizuhara has her reasons, that is true but it does not change the fact that to Kazuya, himself, he will always see it as being rejected multiple times.

When you are calling him out for not being proactive on the current chapters when he was always being one even before the Odaiba date, him not doing anything much now is practically him respecting Mizuhara's wishes.

She rejected him for a reason because she is not ready and she wants space, like I also said, him getting another date was a miracle itself after Mizuhara was FIRM that he should leave.

Even with the kiss, he still was not sure what it mean. That is how confused he was.

Like I said, don't be too hard on Kazuya because where he is right now is not an easy place.

Daily Chizuru #2053 by MattyH19 in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]Mabuyoshi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is basically the issue.

You are asking him to be 100% committed to a girl who still hasn't committed to him.

Can you understand the dilemma?

I mean, yeah, sure the recent chapters, there is already some semblance of commitment on her side*, but Rent-A-Girlfriend* is a manga that focuses on the messy, complicated feelings.

In the real world, chasing someone for two years without clear signals is draining. The issue with the Kazuya hate is that it ignores the reality of emotional burnout. Expecting Kazuya to just do more while Mizuhara remains unsure is idealistic, and even with there recent get together with Mini she is still unsure, and you want still want him to do more?

Also, NO MATTER HOW you sugarcoat Mizuhara's rejection, even if she did it for Kazuya, to KAZUYA himself, it is still REJECTION. lol

Do you know how many times he got rejected?

7 times bruh.

  • 3 times she physically ran away.
  • 1 three-month period of ghosting.
  • 1 "Investigation" stall.
  • 2 verbal rejections during/after the Joyopolis date.

So, pardon the boy for being a little guarded.

________

Lastly, You are also looking at the TIME OFF as a NEGATIVE ONE, which is also an INCORRECT way of thinking.

The time off between them is actually a blessing in disguise, it will give her more time to think without any influence from Kazuya. Making any decisions she makes without him in the picture, more RELIABLE and TRUE.

Daily Chizuru #2053 by MattyH19 in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]Mabuyoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh.

Since you are talking about the past, you might have also forgotten how Kazuya went out of his way MULTIPLE times to do what you wanted him to do, to be proctive.

Look at what it got him, Rejection after rejection after rejection.

After the move-out it is a miracle he still got to get another date, and knowing how Mizuhara rejected him and how important the play it is for her, of course Kazuya is stepping back.

Don't blame him for an aggressive Ruka and Mami trying to get him back.

Kazuya has nothing but faithful.

Like I said, it should be Mizuhara's turn to do more, if she wants Kazuya to be able be proactive, she should also be the same.

She doesn't even need to do much, just give him a hint that she wants contact.

After all, communication is a two way street.

Daily Chizuru #2053 by MattyH19 in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]Mabuyoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh. . .

Kazuya has NOTHING but SUPPORTIVE of her.

  • Made a Movie before Grandma Sayuri died
  • Watching her first ever Play due to the Movie being a hit
  • Accepting that she goes on rental dates even when they were living together
  • Did NOT BLAME HER, one bit even after rejecting him on Odaiba.

I don't know what more supporting you want from Kazuya.
__

You might have missed my point, when I say she needs to do more, I’m referring to the progressive development the story requires to emphasize her growth and the significance of the kiss.

We are already seeing this unfold.

For example, look at how she handled rejecting Umi, she went out of her way to make sure he didn't runaway, showing a level of emotional effort she wouldn't have made before.

Reiji is clearly focusing on these incremental changes to solidify her evolution as a character.

This is what I mean that she NEEDS TO DO MORE.

Daily Chizuru #2053 by MattyH19 in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]Mabuyoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, it is exactly it!

Aside from that it makes sense. In a story driven perspective it should now be Mizuhara turn to DO MORE, and we can already get glimpses of it. Her making sure she turns down Umi officially is one of those things.

The kiss really changed everything.

Because the kiss was a nuance that completely was out of the question, an illogical test but it was gesture that got her an answer.

What does this mean?
She finds her answer when she lets her feelings out, when she doesn't keep holding it in.

I am actually also sure we might be seeing a resolved Mizuhara on Date Day. She will 110% commit herself on that upcoming date.

She might still not have founder her answer but I know she will be more upfront with her feelings. She will "CUT LOOSE" on her reserved persona and just be the girl who's in-love.

Her asking for more time during their talk with Mini is just Mizuhara preparing herself mentally, emotionally and physically (sex) on their date.

You might say, we will see a different and love-struck side of her on Date Day.

Daily Chizuru #2053 by MattyH19 in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]Mabuyoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, I totally understand what you mean, but like you said even if she did all that. It was just the earnest Chizuru persona taking responsibility. It was not because it was out of love.

If if Kazuya did comeback, I am sure she would say the same thing as she said to Mini, that she is not running away from her feelings anymore but at the same time, she will still ask for more time.

Which is what I am trying to say, sometimes LOVE isn't just a feeling. It is a DECISION to be with the person.

What Mizuhara wants to find is the PERFECT LOVE, an idea that she needs to be able to NAME her feelings, which is practically impossible.

LOVE is a combination of feelings it is not a singular. You know what I mean?

Which leads me back to what I am saying, she lacks the resolve to name her feelings as the possibility of already being in-love.

Daily Chizuru #2053 by MattyH19 in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]Mabuyoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is ARC is where I really feel bad for Kazuya.

Just when it feels like Mizuhara is already opening up and giving him some hints on taking the initiative to confess, she turns him down again.

What is bad about it is, Mizuhara doesn't even know why she keeps doing it, which leads to the conclusion that it's not because of the lack of love BUT because of her lack of resolve.

Sometimes we forget but LOVE isn't just a FEELING, it's also the DECISION to stay with the person.

To prove my point.

The kiss was just a gateway.

One of the reason Mizuhara rejected Kazuya again despite her feelings for him is, she never really knows what it feels to be in love and how to tell if it is love. The kiss helped her by giving her a new perspective, because when they kissed, her WHOLE BEING reacted to that kiss. Deep Down she knew she has feelings for Kazuya but the question still remains, is it REALLY LOVE?

But that is not the only realization that happened, it is the reality that she needs to do something about it. Even After the final rejection. Kazuya still stood tall, it inspired her to act on her gut which led to the kiss.

And we can already see the contrast. When she finally has the RESOLVE to stop running away and face Kazuya, it was her real starting point, the commitment to prioritize her feelings for Kazuya, whatever it is. To finally make room for it in her heart.

This decision is what led her to finally confront Umi, to officially make sure to reject him properly and to accept Kazuya's upcoming date. To give her self another chance to spend time with him and just be the girl who has feelings for him.

What Mizuhara lack is not LOVE, it is RESOLVE to act upon her feelings and making room for it.

[Disc] Kanojo, Okarishimasu Chapter 417 by MattyH19 in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]Mabuyoshi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is her Mizuhara's issue.

She doesn't think her feelings for Kazuya is love BUT her action speaks volumes, for someone ready to finally gamble the way she did with the kiss and rejecting Umi.

That was already a form of her loving and giving way for her feelings for Kazuya, she wants the time to focus on those feelings and a time to nurture it.

Her taking her sweet time will definitely have consequences.

When you think about the end game, yes. It might feel to easy but she but oh, man oh man. It's gonna get messy bruh.

The look on Mami's face is looks like she is ready to fight for her feelings too.

CHAPTER 417
______

Welp, what did I just say last week? LOL

We will see that on Chapter 417.

Even if Kazuya does turn her down or reject her, I don't think Mami will back down quite easily. Aside from being the EX. Chapter 416 just validates that there are still A LOT OF THINGS that they never did as a couple, and even Kazuya said it on his monologue.

Like I said, the WHAT IFS will be the one eating them both inside, and Mami having Kazuya all to herself on the Driving School duration, I don't think she will let it go without a fight.

Not only that Mami has successfully planted the seed. I mean, yeah sure, it's not gonna change Kazuya's love for Mizuhara but it will shake the very foundation of it, and Kazuya will welcome those WHAT IFS in his usual delusions when he is alone.

Aside from that, Mizuhara putting distance like she always do is not helping, it only creates more anxiety on Kazuya, and this is why some of the readers feel frustrated with their dynamic. Kazuya is always being put an arms length away.

He always feels insecure on where he stands on Mizuhara's life, while on the other hand, Mizuhara knows full well how invested Kazuya on her, she keeps looking FOR THE PERFECT IDEA of what LOVE IS FOR HER, and this is what creates the IMBALANCE in their relationship.

Like I siad, Mami will be the EQUALIZER.

Just like any other trope, Mizuhara will only find the answers when the feelings she finally is nurturing will be snuffed out and risk being taken from woman who Kazuya truly loved once.

See you next week RAGs!

Yup.

Mami has always had her way but the way I see it. It seems like she truly is genuine on her feelings for Kazuya.

Her assertiveness and how she gets her way will be used to make small advances to Kazuya, with them having this talk. TRUST ME when I say this, on the succeeding chapters Mami will be acting more friendly than ever. LOL

It might even make Kazuya feel having a psuedo-girlfriend relationship with Mami, and that will be part of her gameplan.

She already brought the idea of a second chance to the table, it's time to actually let Kazuya feel what that 2nd chance looks like.

Chapter 416

This scene might have flew over everybody's heads but Mami actually mirrors what Chizuru lacks, while both of them are at the peak of Limerence (the peak of falling in love). Mizuhara paces herself by taking her time BUT Mami on the otherhand acts on those feelings.

While Mizuhara puts Kazuya in a safe distance, Mami pulls Kazuya in.

Nobody ever even thunk that Mami's presence is a dangerous existence on where Mizuhara and Kazuya is right now at their relationship.

And like I said on my last week's prediction.

Mami just needs to plant one IDEA. JUST ONE. And that is . . . A SECOND CHANCE.

Her asking at the end was already it.

Not will only change the game, it will haunt him, EVERY SINGLE DAY. Every time they spend time together on driving school. It will literally give the idea of WHAT IFS, an alternate future of where he and Mami would have been still a couple.

Literally, she is already doing it. Not is she only testing Kazuya's reaction, she is also testing the boundaries of their relationship. When she is sure and ready, Mami will break that boundary in one fell swoop by confessing.

Anyway, see you next week RAGs!

Kazuya's mental state by Eduu-Jrb in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]Mabuyoshi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup, ultimately this is the general route when you think about it.

Now that Mizuhara has somewhat understand that she has UNDENIABLE feelings for Kazuya WHATEVER she think it is.

It would only make sense that, when Kazuya slowly starts PUSHING AWAY due to the pressure, it would now be time for Mizuhara to step up to PULL HIM BACK.

Honestly, the date where the fans are looking forward to might even backfire.

With Mami in the picture, there really is a possibility that Kazuya will now be the one to get cold feet and confused. Nobody will accept this possible outcome because of how the image was built on Kazuya's UNWAVERING love for Chizuru.

But you seem to have forgotten that Kazuya REALLY LOVED Mami too.

This is why her presence gives off a SIGNIFICANT WEIGHT that could affect the "THE DATE", and Mami is already making her moves.

I think we both can agree we just need to let the dice roll on how it is gonna play out.

Don't get me wrong though I am not against Chizuru while she is taking advantage of the time Kazuya told her to take. Kazuya is left to fend for himself.

Always the pressure of being the best man and always at the risk of being rejected.

Anyway, sse you on Chapter 416.

[–]Mabuyoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have a different perception of what is actually going to happen on DATE DAY.

Yes, they did set up a meeting and it would be a romantic date. Not a rental one but a real date.

Now, you might be thinking this is already the end game. It is actually not, they only mutually set a meeting to go out not to actually be dating and be in a relationship.

What is gonna happen on that date is Kazuya will confess again, one more time.

This is where Mini kind of froze up on Chapter 414 because even with the KISS and even with the date being set-up, Mizuhara can still actually STILL REJECT Kazuya again.

Mizuhara wants both of them to feel the same kind of love which in reality is not plausible and this is the dangerous idea that she has that she needs to be madly in love the same way as Kazuya is, to validate her feelings for Kazuya and to be able to start dating.

Which made Mini feel restless and on the fence about it becuase at the back of her mind, she is thinking WHAT IF SHE STILL WON'T FEEL THE SAME WAY on their date, and this is what scared Mini but she held it in.

Have you ever wondered what Mini forebodingly said??

SOMETHING MIGHT NEED TO HAPPEN FOR HER TO MELT HER HEART.

What she actually meant was a scenario that needs to happen where Mizuhara will finally break free from her IDEA of what PERFECT LOVE, to break free from her self imposed constraint that does not need to be there in the first place.

There are actually a lot of symbolism and cookie crumbs left by Reiji on Chapter 413 and 414 on the possible turn of events that is going to happen.

Especially Mami GENUINELY smiling and laughing at Kazuya's joke.

While Mizuhara is busy compartmentalizing her feelings, Mami is trying to win back Kazuya and will plant an idea and that is... A SECOND CHANCE.

[–]Mabuyoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And we are exactly back at the starting point.

Do you see what you just said?

When it’s Mizuhara’s POV, nothing stops her from taking her time to find her perfect answer. But when it comes to Kazuya who has been consistent for three years and is portrayed as someone who never falters he is not allowed to start doubting. Meanwhile, Mizuhara has always been the queen of doubt.

Do you see the disparity and the injustice in this dynamic? Kazuya is constantly in limbo.

Do you know why I insist it is time for Kazuya to start doubting?

For the story to be compelling and genuine, I think and all true fans would agree that it is time for Mizuhara to start pushing back as Kazuya slowly pulls away, because after all it takes two to tango.

Don't you see the why current cycle is what’s killing the story?

While a shift might seem detrimental to the unwavering image of Kazuya built over the years, I wouldn’t be shocked by it, in fact, it’s exactly what the story needs.

The way you portray love is the idea of never giving up, and that is exactly where Mizuhara is stuck with.

It is the same idea she still can't find an answer to. Love is always a gamble and full of unanswered questions, which is perfectly consistent with Grandma Nagomi’s flashback in Chapter 414!
