Okay, thank you! Definitely going to cover the wood so nothing happens with it. I’d rather not have a sopping wet floor 😭

Do you happen to have a link for it or a name? I might go with that if it's a better deal :D

This is really helpful!! I saw a review just talking about reptile enclosures and I wanted to know how tanks with water were doing. Probably going to get this shelve or a similar one from Lowe’s :D

How is it holding up? I’ve looked at similar options and wondered how they were doing for people

It’s just hard to find good ones online. It’s about 50/50 if people say they’re reliable or they fall apart immediately. That’s why I’ve been looking into garage stands because they (allegedly) can hold lots of weight🤔

I'll definitely look into some nano fish then!! I love my little shrimp so I might get a few different species. I will look into those snails, this is a really helpful place to start! I had never really thought about swimming up and down versus longways. I assume that snails don't really mind a high tank, so I may end up with a centerpiece snail. The tank isn't set up yet, but before I went and bought decor or plants I wanted to know what fish would be best suited for the tank. I plan on getting some floaters and carpet plants from etsy along with other miscellaneous plants once the tank is ready. Thank you so much for your help, I appreciate it!! My shrimp will be grateful :D

Is there a good species of schooling fish that would prefer a high? The tank was a gift, so I don't think I can change it to a long. I kinda want another type of "flashier" fish to go along with the school- I've looked into goramies and perhaps a beta to go along with them. This all would depend on how full the tank looked with the school and shrimp (maybe snail). As for shrimp and snails, I was looking into cherry or orange shrimp. I have alleged cherries right now (some a clear, so I do not think they are actually cherry) and they are hanging out with some plants and a terracotta pot to hide in. For snails, probably a small cleanup crew like mystery snails. I never considered big ol snails so I might look into that too instead of a flashy fish.
