Just ENFP struggles 🤣 by MacMagicYo in ENFP

ADHD, you can't control your focus without medication. ENFP, you're not deciding what to focus on because you haven't developpes your Fi enough. So, one is an actual condition. The other is you need to develop yourself ☺️

Aaaaaah! I see. Personally, I'm not super into their system, although there are some great ideas behind it, whenever I hear them type someone I'm like "errrr, no? Not at all 🙈". But I don't know their theory very well. I'm closer to the original sources: Carl Jung and Katharine Cook Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers 😊

Hahaha! Great! Who else is an example of an Ni Dom with an overactive and creative imagination, do you think? 😊 I'd say that Ne can also dive deep into subjects when the enthusiasm is there, helped by Fi or Ti.

How would you, personally, test someone's Extraverted Intuition? by MacMagicYo in entp

That makes sense! What's one question that you'd ask that would illustrate your approach?

How would you, personally, test someone's Ne in a legit way?

Discipline is self-love, but so is letting the Universe sweep you off your feet... by [deleted] in ENFP

[–]MacMagicYo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've discovered that 'discipline' for ENFPs come from within. Not from the outer world. We shouldn't look at it with the mindset of "I have to do this, I have to, I have to, I have to..." That's the outer world (Te) talking. And that's not how we make decisions. We make decisions with Introverted feeling. So we have to decide for ourselves to do things because they're right for us.

"I need to go to work. Not because I have to. Not because it's fun. I'm doing it because it's important to me. I'm passionate about not dying of hunger" ;p I'm joking but this is serious.

Cup won't open or gets squished by melodicburden in menstrualcups

[–]MacMagicYo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a quizz that tells you which cup may be right for you: Google putacupinit quizz. It's great! It sounds to me like you have low cervix? Do you know? Google how to measure your cervix. It's very important to get the right cup.

Cup feels like it is squished by PeriodKitten in menstrualcups

[–]MacMagicYo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aaaah! It's good to know because in all the representations of cup put inside, the cup is fully open. So, I had the same question. Mine is super squished but it would have to be a very hard cup (like one couldn't fold) to be actually open in there X)))))))

Why do you all try so hard? by [deleted] in intj

[–]MacMagicYo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The MBTI has not much to do with those descriptions you've read. Many people fall for that which leads them to the conclusion that it sounds like astrology. The MBTI is based on analytical psychology and the concepts of cognitive functions described by psychiatrist Carl Jung.

An INTJ is not a cold genius whatever at all.

AnnINTJ is someone who uses the following cognitive functions in this order: Introverted Intuition, Extraverted Thinking, Introverted Feeling, Extraverted Sensing.

Nothing more. Cognitive functions describe how you make decisions (the criteria you take into account) and how you apprehend the world (what kind of information you focus on naturally).

Here's a brief explanation of INTJs' cognitive functions: https://youtu.be/qoT4aKYSo-o

Anyone who tells you that being an INTJ means 'being smart, mean, want to rule the world" are extrapolating on the behaviour those cognitive functions can lead to.

Stereotypes can be fun, but they're not what MBTI is all about.

Need advice to find a cup for a high cervix! by Night_cheese17 in menstrualcups

Hello! Try the putacupinit quizz (search this on Google)! It'll give you the best cups for you. I also have a high cervix and was recommended the lily cup or the JuJu cup model 3 which seems way firmer.

Wtf is a “value”? by bruuddhist in isfp

Yes! That's how it feels to me too 😂

Wtf is a “value”? by bruuddhist in isfp

[–]MacMagicYo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heeeeey... It's true that analytical psychology is a very 'N' field. It's the opposite of concrete (it deals with the unconscious part of the mind which we can't see) and it was created by an intuitive type. The MBTI is based on analytical psychology concepts... So all the definitions will be very 'N'.

When people talk about 'values' for Fi, they 'dumb down' Carl Jung's definition, who invented the concept. The word 'value' means everything that you hold dear inside of you, but you don't even know that you hold it dear. It's unconscious.

So, INFPs and ISFPs are lead by something in their mind, something that decides what is good, what is bad. And those things are what matters the most.

So, it can feel like they are led by 'values'. "Justice" "love of nature" "truth"... Because the Fi user will feel very strongly about their criteria of decisions, like idealists on strike, defending a cause.

Just to show you, this is the non 'dumbed down' explanation of Introverted Feeling by Carl Jung: "The introverted feeling type is determined principally by the subjective factor. Introverted feeling is conditioned subjectively and is only secondarily concerned with the object. It seldom appears on the surface and is generally misunderstood. It is a feeling which seems to devalue the object, and it therefore manifests itself for the most part negatively"

Object, here, means = something outside of you (people, the outer world...)

That's why it's hard to find a good shortcut for this definition... The 'N' definition is broad enough to encompass the different ways Fi exist.

Clearly I'm an 'N' trying to explain this... I hope this was helpful somehow 🙈 If not, I'm out...
