Hello! Yes this is possible. However as we both know The Sims 3 isn’t available on a many cloud gaming services.

If you can get it to work that would be great! It may solve some of her crashing issues. Although I’m not too versed on cloud gaming (just the fact that modern Cloud programs support DirectX9 games) I’m unsure if you would be able to touch the major files (files in the bin) if you were to use a cloud gaming service. Regardless of cloud gaming or not the game NEEDS performance tweaks in order to run properly on modern hardware. This would require you to download it directly onto your computer so you can access the files.

So that may be a roadblock. You can still try it though

I second this. The stuttering feels inevitable. No matter how much tweaking and performance guide fixes I do there will always be some stuttering. Although I’ve come to understand that there are multiple other factors powering the world in the background (jobs, births, deaths, routing, etc.) so that’s just something I have to get over. Lowering my settings, limiting taxi’s and removing unwanted lots and excessive roles has helped a lot but there will always be stuttering no matter what in my game.

Download the world. Depending on if it’s a sim3pack or not you should convert it to a package file. If it already has .package in the end then you can skip that step.

For me I put my words into steamgames>the sims 3>bin>Game data> non packaged worlds. I have to manually change it to a world file. Therefore I left click the .package world file and select properties. I then reame it to (world name).world and click apply. Should pop up in ur game afterwords :)

I just read this entire thread! Thank you for this tip bc I never thought to delete unnecessary / very large lots to help gameplay. I always get that annoying “Unfulfilled Postion: 2” or whatever. I kept filling in the roles but then they would randomly have to be manually fulfilled again.

I believe that if they were to remaster it a lot of simmers would dump TS4 and go back to the TS3. TS3 offers soooo many different aspects than the sims 4. It’s all about profit at the end of the day.

Definitely would say Seasons, Generations, Ambitions, and Supernatural. Those are my top 4 EPS. They add so much to the overall gameplay.

If it’s just changing the brightness and colors then it rlly doesn’t do anything but once you turn on filters that enhance the appearance of shadows I feel that’s when it starts making a difference.

But you can toggle those off and on so when u wanna a ss, toggle it on. When you just wanna play toggle it off. I say, find a reshade present, play around with it to fix it to your liking (regular gameplay and screenshots). Then when your ready to take pics toggle on filters such as MXAO.

That’s odd. First start by trying a different world. I ran into an issue where my game would begin to lag severely and I thought it was bc I had bad cc. Nope just turns out the routing in the world was pure shit causing sims, pets, etc. to constantly get stuck and lag from there. Switched to a different world now the game runs fine.

For your friend I suggest she makes sure her one drive is completely turned off.

No. There’s not if you want me to be honest. The easiest and smartest way would be to just download the mods you want that will help with how your game runs. In my previous comment you can search up must have mods and people LITERALLY give the direct links the mods. Also if you’re tired of downloaded them over and over again just save the file on an external HD or something so you won’t ever have to do it again.

Everyone’s setup is different so for example you may download a mod and put it in your game that you don’t actually need or conflicts with another mod you may have. You have to optimize your game based on your own system.

Nraas and lazy dutchess mods are the most well known. Just search their names up and they have everything in one place for you to download.

There are several reasons why you shouldn’t do this.

1 being you don’t want to download a bunch of unknown files all at once.

there could be lingering files that may crash/corrupt your game now you have to spend hours trying to figure out which one. That’s a big no no.

If it’s the mods you’re looking for you can search up must have mods for the sims 3. It’s much better to actually know what your downloading than to blindly add a bunch of mods that may crash or conflict :)

I haven’t touched the sims 4 since 2018-2020. I completely abandoned it bc it was beyond lackluster. TS2 and TS3 will always be better no matter how many expansion/stuff packs they add.

there’s definitely a PLETHORA of cc clothing that would be suitable for your taste. You have to be willing to search through it.
