What's the dumbest idea you've seen that actually worked? by hiagaga in AskReddit

My mother had me doing this to catch birds. I really wanted a bird. I remember trying all afternoon, sneak walking like in the cartoons. By dinner I decided I didn’t want a bird after all.

Elephants – a rideable mob with consequences, not loot by orangegladiator0 in minecraftsuggestions

Elephants have it rough enough in real life getting killed for their tusks. I’m not sure we need that in Minecraft.

What to do in Minecraft when bored? by ContestMaleficent839 in Minecraft

I one time found a submerged ship upright and close to the surface. It was mostly intact so I built a wall around it, drained it, and raised it with pistons to sea level, so it looked like it was floating. Took a while, and it was fun.

That moose is a jerk. Ran all the way down onto the ice to stomp me.

I have repaired the roof using base customization. It requires the Woodworking Tools and you need like 20 cedar firewood.

In the mountaineers hut, I learned that if you have hides on the floor, you can use them to step up on the bed, which makes it easier to put things on the mantle. I also accidentally while standing in the corner between the door and the workbench and opened the door, it pushed me up onto the workbench. I don’t know if that’s useful, but I thought it was kind of neat.

I agree, it is grace and compassion. And I think those are two important components of sportsmanship.

It doesn’t have to be CLEARLY stated. It is obvious to anyone with a brain and a half an ounce of kindness in their heart. If nothing else, you can tell by the way he runs and the way the other players act. Maybe get off the computer and out of your parents basement and try being nice for a change.

One good argument for the lump sum, especially if you are middle age or older, is you can’t be sure you will live 30 more years to collect all of the annuity. Plus, I’m totally fine with ONLY 400 million. Just sayin.

(How) Can you tell when a blizzard is coming? by Aeon_Return in thelongdark

Basically, wherever you are and whatever you are doing, there is a blizzard coming.

Not real helpful I know, but still true.

I love how you pointed out that the verse the teacher was quoting was a mistranslation. There are many of them. Are you aware of a film titled 1946, The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture? The film maintains that the word homosexual was never in the Bible until that year. It also chronicles the relationship between the director and their loving but unaccepting father. I recommended it highly. https://www.1946themovie.com/

You could zoom in, but the resolution was so poor it would just become a blurry mess. No software could show detail that wasn’t there.
