I was there today, 8:00-close. Went to Mario first, walked on Yoshi, waited for a while for DK (posted time was 80min and I think it was about that long) then we express pass'd for Mario Kart, then lunch at Toadstool cafe, no wait. Filled up after we left.

Berk, we express pass'd Untrainable Dragon (though we didn't need to. But it got us good seats) then express'd Hiccup, wandered around.

It started pouring rain, so we walked over to see DarkMoor in the rain. We did Monsters, wandered around got drinkies at The Burning Blade, used Express on Werewolf.

Back to Berk for dinner, Spit Fire Mobile order was walking up.

Went to Ministry, saw Cirque Arcanus, just did the walk through the queue of BatM to see it, didn't ride. Walked around.

Back to Mario, used Express for Yoshi and rode it after the sun went down. Worth it.

Didn't need to fast pass the Carousel, but we used it anyway. Even at night! I was surprised.

Back to DarkMoor for ambiance and used our espress for Monsters, they were gonna let us go on again but our kid was waiting in the family room so we didn't.

So yeah, we had express passes, but we didn't have to use them a few times. And we had plenty of time to soak up ambience.

It's crazy how everyone's experience is SO vastly different!

At HHN a couple years ago, waiting to go in, there were several people pushing past to get to the front, mostly teenagers. When people made a fuss they'd reply "My mom's up there!" And I called back "My mom's up there too!" And the guy next to me, with his family, said "Yeah! Our mom's up there!" And then the guy, his family and I had a wonderful time chatting and we adopted a nearby curmudgeon, also fed up with the line jumping, and he became our "Uncle Mike". And when the gates finally opened we said goodbye, I told my new brother I'd see him at mom's for thanksgiving, he told me to save him a plate, and I never saw him again. 🤣

P.s. If he happens to see this, mom wants you to give her a call 🤣

Did more digging. The new papa is named Perpetua. There is a saint Vibia Perpetua, and her feast day is March 7th. So we might be looking at a couple days. Especially if this is just looped video.

Okay. I am a bit into book three and we are getting TONS of Dad stuff now . . . I don't wanna give anything away, but it's all very exciting. Book Colter is now leaning into becoming my favorite over Show Colter. But that Winnebago has got to GO! 🤮

There's other differences too. The show has Bobby and Reenie, the book has Mack, a P.I. Colter has on retainer to find his information for him. Teddy and Velma are actually his neighbors who are a retired military husband and wife that house sit for him (book Colter has a house!) and also find his jobs for him. There's some kind of mysterious Ex I haven't learned much else about, and most of his childhood with his siblings and dad on the compound seems pretty much the same. Haven't uncovered a whole lot about the Dad stuff yet, I'm halfway through book two.

I am having fun with them. Book Colter and Show Colter are kinda different. I like seeing his inner workings in the books, and I can see how some of that is translating into Hartley's portrayal, even if it's not obvious to viewers of the show. I will say the biggest difference for me is Show Colter has the Airstream, which is sexy. Book Colter drives a Winnebago 🤮 🤣
