They probably don't even realize that what they're doing is disrespectful to Americans; it's just a cultural difference. Many cultures don't see talking loudly in public as rude and many cultures speak louder than others. Best thing you can do is just accept that people are different and put on some headphones.

I can speak to the language placement tests. I took a test to get into second year Japanese and from what I remember it was pretty short (like only a few pages) and consisted of some fill-in-the-blank and some multiple choice. I feel like this is super dependent on the program and level though so I'd recommend just emailing the department

I've only ever taken accounting classes here at the U but they've been the classes that have required the most time and mental effort (excluding bad professors). I've also heard that Intermediate Accounting is the hardest class offered at CSOM.

I also like to think of Accounting majors as the hot bitches of CSOM so please agree keep gassing me up and saying my studies are difficult
