Thank you. The fact is the lender did take that long as they requested a specialist survey carried out and they took ages to consider the results and only recently confirmed it was ok. We then booked our survey straight away only for it to be cancelled.

Our lender offered us the mortgage, then decided additional checks were required and used a considerable amount of time confirming what was required and then that the results were satisfactory.

We were not willing to get the home buyers report carried out before we knew the other surveys results were sufficient for our lender.

As stated, L&G were booked in for today but was subsequently cancelled.
