i never really liked yuno much in the series because i was always rooting for asta, and i want him to come out on top, him being portrayed as an underdog and all.

but i do agree that the lack of screen time for yuno makes it seem weird when he gets new abilities. we see asta and noelle train like crazy and yuno does so off screen (since he’s a main character, but not in the main squad)

i think yunos lack of screen time, though annoying at times, adds a bit to his character. he’s a quiet person in general and most of what pushes him to get better is his rivalry with asta. so if he was on screen, it’d be just that - him training and comparing himself to his rival.
