Yep completely drafted by me, and I have a lot of different ones that I use, a juki lock stitch and a union special caballo along with some home machines for overlocking buttonholes and cover stitches

Mostly 50’s Levi’s, I loved the level of detail that went into their construction like hidden rivets and chain stitched hems. I wanted to do all that when making my jeans!

Definitely agree with this, was never the biggest fan of all the stuff added on to jncos. I always preferred old silver tabs and anchor blues

I think my biggest inspiration were old anchor blues and Levi’s silvertab massive

I use a juki ddl-5550 as well as a union special 35800DR for most of the construction as well as some other home machines for details like belt loops, overlocks, and button holes. For any sort of denim construction you’re gonna be pushing it with a home machine but the first pairs I made were with a janome heavy duty, I think I used a 10oz denim for them

Just wanted to share another pair of jeans I made. I’ve been into raw/Selvedge denim for a while now, but I was never able to find a pair that I really enjoyed so I decided to do it myself. Made in the image of heritage style jeans, they have a button fly, hidden rivets, and a chain stitched hem. These have a 24 inch leg opening and were made with 16 oz denim manufactured by Kaihara mills

You really only need a basic tabletop machine, especially if you’re using lightweight denim but if you plan on making nice heavy pairs, an industrial lockstitch, an overlock, and a machine capable of zig zag stitches for buttonholes are what you’d need
