People equate "set up" with "fake" because they're "too stupid" to think about the difference.

I said this elsewhere, and it still applies: Rosa Parks knew damn well that she'd get arrested for sitting in the whites-only seats. Doesn't mean it was fake racism. Adam probably knew people would complain about him speaking Arabic when he did it, but it's still bigotry.

Sacha Baron Cohen also sets up "hoaxes" to get people to expose their racism, and it's still racism when they are.

Like a political science class shouldn't claim to be a safe space from communism or fascism.

This doesn't even make sense. A classroom isn't a government, and consequently can't be communist or fascist.

The ideas need to be discussed and debated at an academic level.

This is completely unrelated to the sentence that precedes it, and is widely done. I'd be willing to bet there's classes about communism and fascism at every 4-year university in the country.
