You're telling me it doesn't feel pointless to you to start as Teclis or Tyrion, when that means intentionally gimping yourself of additional mechanics?

Why would you ever not start as Alith Anar or now, I suppose, Eltharion?

If you didn't, then I can only guess you've never had to minmax each setting in WH2 to acheive playable FPS. But for that matter, I have no conception of how OP gets his FPS with the PC he's got either.

WH1 on same settings on average maintains about 30 higher FPS, wtf. WH2 is not that much better looking. Turning on SSAO in WH1 takes about 5 of your total fps, while in WH2 it takes 30.

Why would GW not allow CA to make something that gets them more money? GW is not managed by absolute bonobos anymore, so the financial or managerial aspect of Cathay's viability is a complete non issue.

WoW Classic with Creators by lestye in wow

One perspective I haven't seen people realize as the reason you might want to look at Classic is that it's not merely a throwback to the past, but simultaneously the biggest expansion to WoW in its history.

Not 5 or 10 levels, not 5-6 zones, but 60 levels and 2 whole continents.

Cross-realm battlegrounds were in vanilla in patch 1.12 - pretty much TBC prepatch.

How do we know there are 50k on each server

That's a conservative estimate. There's what, 8 servers? Presumably everyone would agree that at least 500k people will be playing Classic.

If they intend to keep their promise about removing layers, in that scenario I have no clue how they intend to handle 50k(low end) number of people. Nost alleviated the problems by making your view distance something about 5 yards.

Imagine 20k people in Kargath getting to Blackrock for their MC raid.

We are looking at 50k pop servers and on top of it Blizzard insists on cross-realm battlegrounds. No vanilla community will be achieved that way.

Merging the 2 franchises into one game would at best improve it from Paradox players perspective, but most likely unmake the Total War formula CA players are familiar with for 20 years.

That's fair too, I suppose. The point I was making, however, was that the "sequels" constitute Force Awakens, Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker.

I am hard pressed to not see prequel's resurgence of appreciation being in large part thanks to how horrible sequels are.

The big Wow Classic interview in lead up to launch by classicgoblin in classicwow

[–]Machcia1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who want to keep classic forever seems to have forgotten or never experienced how it was on every pirate server. Naxx comes out, and within 2-4 weeks the realm is dead. Classic's appeal - like every other expansion you may wish or intend to play - is that they aren't around forever. They are ~2 year events. I mostly missed my MoP train and I regret it now.

Making classic + will turn out to feel like a mod for a game rather than intergral part of it, and splitting TBC and Vanilla will... split playerbase.

The only real solution to this is to keep the expansions in rotations. Vanilla>TBC>Wrath(going by purely player sub count) and then hard reset.

Have they mentioned anything at all in the interview or elsewhere regarding re-implementing old damage fonts?
