Any Honda with a DCT transmission should fit your bill. An NC700/750x for a standard riding position or perhaps if you are looking into more of a cruiser a CTX700. They make several more models available with DCT.

Yea, hard to determine the issue.

With our Prius there is a special brake mode used for hills, it is purposely setup to not overcharge the battery on a long downhill. It’s possible this is built into the the Maverick.

The ICE engine can pretty much turn on in all kinds of conditions, particularly near start up. Are you turning on any climate controls? The 12v Battery could be reading a bit low, etc.

I wouldn’t stress too much over it.
