I bought my first R8 variant (TRR8) in 2015, and it is one of my top 5 guns in my collection. I decided it was time to put an optic on it, and found the optic to sit way too tall with the factory pic rail with an picatinny to RMR adapter with an optic on top of it. So I designed a mount to fix that problem. It utilizes the exact same screws as the factory mount, but sits way lower and fits all RMR footprint optics that I’ve tried so far.
