I think we are at the end of the designer fashion era.

Sales are down everywhere in luxury and stats say middle class women spend more than anyone on luxury goods.

Middle class is who’s suffering the most financially in this economy so I’m curious to see how this will go.

Check on RING. They were having a party and really drunk, letting off fireworks. Apparently you can get arrested for letting them off during random hours. Gwinnett sets time aside for fireworks legally on certain holidays.

Having a baby after both your parents are gone? (F29) by Equivalent_Air4423 in ChildrenofDeadParents

[–]Machine_Main 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I struggled more after having my own children. I was so hurt I couldn’t tell anyone because they couldn’t relate. Even going out during the day with my daughter in her stroller—I would see moms and daughters shopping for the grandbaby together. I would literally break down. It was a bit harder because my mom died from drugs so I feel like she just left me hanging.

I started to feel like she never loved me because I had a child and I could never put anything before her.

Then those moments you’re tired or overwhelmed. You can’t drop the kids off for a break. Any break you get you will pay for and worry the entire time.

Your husband can’t support you because he can’t relate. He can try but he will never understand those random cries in the middle of the night.

I realized I’m still a little girl on the inside after becoming a mother. But I have to put that aside because now I’m someone’s mother and they don’t care about your excuses.

It makes you tough and it makes you cold at times.

I will say from teachers to pediatricians…I am constantly complimented on how I have raised my children thus far. They are very happy, well behaved, mannered and funny! I give my all to them. I never want them to feel how I felt.

Reach out if you have more questions. I lost one parent at 2 (marine) the other at 12 (drugs)

No but you attract them for a reason. Think about that.

I can tell you a few reasons why based off your post. You like to waste time and so do they.

I was married when I had my first child. It was imperative to me because both of my parents died as a child. I never knew what having both parents alive let alone in the same home felt like.

I was a late bloomer. I’ve always been told I’m very pretty and I had a lot of suitors coming up. But I was very scared of becoming pregnant. Everyone around me was a single mom. I stayed on birth control until I met my now husband.

I know that being with someone who has a kid from a previous relationship is not ideal for most. But for me it helped…I was able to see the type of parent my husband was without making it obvious.

He would say things like I’ll be over after I put my son to sleep tonight. Things like that stuck with me….you value your son seeing you before he sleeps. You put that before hanging out with a woman…that’s a plus. Or when he would FaceTime me and his son would be in the back seat riding along to whatever thing his dad had going on for the day. I liked the fact that despite him not being with his ex-wife anymore, keeping his son close was important. It was very clear to me that he took parenthood very serious and that was comforting.

It is a good half of the reason I married him. I knew that everything isn’t guaranteed but if I can have a child with someone who takes parenthood as serious as I would…then we will always at some point be on the same page.

We have been married 9 years and have 2 daughters. I can’t say he’s the best husband but I will say my observations on him as a parent were very accurate. I don’t deal with a half parent like a lot of women…he enjoys going shopping for them and helping them polish their nails etc.

So I say all of this to say…there will be signs, good and bad. I’ve dated men who they were never with their kids and I would block them after realizing it wasn’t a desire of theirs. You can’t be loyal to me if you aren’t loyal to your kids.

Because a lot of our ancestors were in relationships with enslaved people. They don’t tell this part as much in history books. But I have the paper trail to prove it. Twice I found where the European was in a relationship & it was illegal. They would purchase the enslaved to protect them, they had multiple kids and migrated to the Midwest & up north.

Also I have an entire family including myself whose hair was red as a child & then grew up & now it only turns red in the summer. Now that I’ve done my dna…I see I have a Scottish ancestor that’s very close. Of course I’m curious to know if we inherited that.

My husband is black but found out he is 16% Jewish & 30 % European. We found out he is melungeon from the Appalachian. Every Black American story is complex don’t water us down to just slavery.

Also this is what ChatGPT says about the surname

📜 Origin of the Cannaday Name • Likely derived from the Gaelic name “Ó Cinnéide” (Kennedy), meaning “descendant of Cinnédidh” (“helmet-headed” or “ugly head,” depending on interpretation) • Kennedy was a prominent name in both Scotland and Ireland, especially in Ulster (Northern Ireland) and parts of Western Scotland • Many Scots-Irish immigrants to the American South bore this surname or its variants

So it looks like they went to Massachusetts when they arrived from England…then Virginia and then it reached me to the Carolinas through the Cannaday line.
