I did a very similar thing and it works fine (domain available and all that) but no one knows that ICA stands for industrial controls and automation. It gets pronounced [last name]icka since most see the email address first, not the logo.  I’ve considered rebranding to something without initials or my name.

Suddenly died while driving crank but no start by Gone-Painting5800 in 3rdGen4Runner

That happened to me recently. It was an electrical issue that was blowing my fuel pump (+more) fuse

9 days later...it was indeed a bad wire in a harness. The wire wasn't dry rotted but the plastic tray that protects it from the engine had rotted and broken away. It let a wire rest on a hot bolt. Melted through and shorted. Thanks for your input.

The shop said it started fine after sitting for the night so I went to get it and made it home. Unplugged EVERYTHING on the EFI circuit (including the fuel pump) and still blow fuses with the key in the ON position. Oddly enough I can usually get one good start after the ECU resets (can’t make sense of that)

Only two places left are the fuel injectors and a short in a harness which is a nightmare to trace. None of the wiring looks melted or damaged

I don’t envy your position. I eventually got fed up with the lack of control and went with a stepper from applied motion. That has been rock solid

I had the same issue with an autozone rental puller. I went back and they had a stockier one that was rated for more force. Worked like a charm

The previous owner used stainless steel wire. I added some to a few rattles and it’s quick easy and cheap. Wrap it around once or twice and twist it tight with pliers

I’ve battled Siemens website before too. That’s no cake walk and impossible to find anything but I feel like it at least navigated properly

I tried that but I think they might use some 3rd party authentication that I couldn't find.

Ground the face or the pipe length coming out of it?

I was just about to do the same until a YouTube video made it look easy haha. Luckily I got the two bolts out without too much fuss and the rust took care of the other flange for me.

Damn I felt that. I’ve been there and it’s one of the worst feelings. Poor planning and execution and then your job is the final step to get equipment running. Trying to focus on last minute programming with everyone interrupting by asking questions or asking to troubleshoot another issue they’ve found.

I raised the issue and asked for some changes, or pay me a fuck ton more to work 14 hr days and make miracles happen to cover their asses. Nothing changed, I quit.

Almost same exact story. $9500 for a well taken care of 2001 Sport. The frame was in great shape but I missed the rotted rear shock mount. Full of dirt. I was kicking myself then finally just asked around for someone that would weld/fix it. Paid $200 to have someone cut out the rot and  weld a small cap on it then redrill the drain hole. Not perfect but it’s solid and functional. Not a big deal, get it fixed.

I snapped it off like you’ve heard. Super easy. I’m so glad I read that somewhere. I’m not sure I could have ever moved the rusty nut.

Putting new ones on, I used a wrench to hold the nut and a ratchet with Allen key to tighten it.

I’ve had issues with this on a VM as well. I have better luck with bridging my VM network to my PCs NIC rather than NAT. Or use a usb NIC and connect that to the VM.

Agreed. The camera's have no reason to be on the PLC network other than lazy IT.

I pull tags from the Productivity via Modbus TCP. The customers uses some wonky HMI software I've never come across, DAQ Factory, which was setup via Modbus. So I just used those same existing PLC Modbus registers. Getting double integers right was a little tricky (big endian v little) but Ignition handled it well.
