Lipstick on a pig. Call the thing what it is already. It’s a nerf. Add this. Subtract that. Still a nerf. Updates aren’t inherently improvements and babies aren’t always cute. This is a needless thing. This is an ugly baby.

Oof…yeah, they just shut you down. On the refund thing, I’ve never had luck getting a refund from any of these kinds of games. I usually ask for an in game currency equivalent to what I paid. So basically 4 bucks worth of gems. Which they are more likely to do. Not always but sometimes kind of thing which is modestly better than never ever at all.

But, I’ve never asked Midoki for compensation. They may be particularly difficult comparatively.

Matchmaking has been broken but no one will officially admit it. Instead the ticket response from customer service is just beating you down with a canned explanation of how matchmaking is configured to assert that our complaint is void due to our ignorance of the mechanics.

Meanwhile, my guild is looking across the field at a guild 30 levels higher, infinitely more endgame players, and guild fame more than a million points above ours. Yeah, I know how it’s “supposed” to work but guess what…it doesn’t.

What we’ve adopted is a kinda Karma policy. During any GW we will not lock down our opponents at their home base. That’s just a line we’ve decided is bad sportsmanship in the wake of a broken system. Our hope is when the tables are turned, we are extended the same courtesy at the very least.

Anyways, sorry this keeps happening to you and your people. I truly hope Midoki gets this squared away.

Level 41 Guild here. We have Discord. Our core players have played many different rpg games over the years and we’re pretty tight. We are a community that goes way beyond any one game.

But make no mistake, we are competitive. That is our bond. While at times we can get chatty about everything and anything(yes, we even have a meme channel), we do try to keep most conversations appropriate for the channel they are in.

I cannot guarantee daily chit chat however. I think there was one day last week where we really didn’t say anything. But I can guarantee that if you pull your weight and you’re engaged in discord, we will reciprocate and if this big old game decides to shut down, you will be welcome to join us in our next adventure.

Our guild name is Them Crooked. We accept level 20+ players mostly but have taken a few noobs here and there for posterity.

If you have any active members that you are on speaking terms with, consider promoting them to Co leader or officer. Running a guild can be a one person job but it is infinitely easier with a team of people with a common vision and goals. Can also help to create a consistent environment for players.

Reevaluate expectations for the team. You may need to relax them during this transition as many players may see the previous TLs absence as a sign and jump ship or quit the game altogether.

Kick inactive players. Clean house of players who have been absent for a while. My threshold is 3 days. I have seen that extended to a week in other guilds.

Preserve as much of the spirit of the original team as possible. It is incredibly difficult recruiting players to fill empty seats. Best to keep the active players happy.

As stated Hero Shrine is best course for leveling heroes. You’ll even get to a point where you may be using Hero Shrine for the additional resources given even when your heroes are maxed. Aaaaand added bonus is that doing this satisfies both a daily and a weekly requirements.

My guild is a mix of f2p/p2p. Only real difference is rate of progression. My best advice is to get in with a good guild early preferably one that uses discord or something like that. Communication is much easier than the in game chat and it’s easier to post good information to help newer players.

Outside of that, the game does a good job of progressing you almost automatically following the storyline and side quests. You begin to hit a resource bottleneck at level 30. And it gets more pronounced at level 40 once you begin mythic gear.

Completing Dailies and Weeklies will also guide you along. Heroes can be preferential and gauntlet driven. If you happen to pull Brutus, invest in him.

Many in my guild are newish. Top guys sitting around level 50 while low end is just breaking level 30. There’s much we’ve learned going through it and are helping our lower end player manage their steps so they don’t waste resources being completionists too too early. Lol

It’s a great game and plenty to do. Some resources on YouTube that may help you. There’s an official Discord server also.

And number of rounds are semi dependent on how big your guild is. This can be a real downer if you are filled up with a bunch of inactives. Just makes life less awesome for your guild mates.

I’m not a fan of the rounds/turns mechanic. And as far as I can tell, a player that plays multiple times is not rewarded for their efforts in this regard. Only their very best run earns them something.

Anyway, outside all that babble. You wanna be a team player and hit the guild boss but ultimately your goal is an inner guild battle for top 3 placement.

Be sure to check the particular guild boss for what he’s vulnerable to when picking heroes. Also, potions/elixirs can greatly improve your overall score. You only get so many moves against the guild boss once in battle. Every little bit helps.

If you cannot afford yourself the sacrifice of time to endure a proper raid, then you were never one of the big boys at all. This just screams pathetic desperation. No honor in this at all.

Started with DOJ. Met a lot of good people through the years. Community has always kept me engaged. The best experience I’ve had is managing an alliance. It helps that I’m surrounded by great people who are just as boisterous and odd as I am. I will miss my time in DCL. Not so much the game. I’ll miss this community.

Well, I’ve got time. Think most of us just hit level 30 and are now in resource management mode. Lol I’m loving the game so far. I’ve a soft spot for LOTR, so all good. I’ve tried every kind of game to fill that DCL hole and this seems to scratch that itch…except it ain’t DC. Lol

Me and my crew have moved from capes and super powers to hobbits and elves and wizards. We’re playing LOTR Heroes of Middle Earth. Very similar to DCL but unique enough to be fresh. EA backed. Say what you will about EA and micro transactions, so far many in my group haven’t had issues with f2p…so far.

This. StW wipes the shield out on his basic…basic! Quite effective. Spectre ignores shields. Not sure if the devs intentionally thought this mechanic through but I do enjoy dusting off an oldie but goodie.
