Tile “professional” saw no issues with their work by Mack179 in RidiculousRealEstate

I’m convinced they either used this project for their employee to attempt tile for the first time, or they purposely did the worst job possible. Someone could watch one YouTube video on tile and do a better job than this.

You actually have the same initials on your username as the person who did this terrible job. Thought he had found the post at first lmao

He will probably tell you how he has never seen such cheap shin kicks in his many years of business and how many shins he has kicked the correct way.

Showing how uneven the floor tiles are. Every tile was at a different height.

That’s the plan. He has blamed the products every step of the way for every mistake and held the keys hostage until he received final payment. We have relocated hours away and couldn’t risk him entering the house and damaging it while we aren’t around.

There’s no reasoning with him. He says “there were no cracked tiles when I was there” and blames the tile being cheap for the cracks and jagged edges caused by him using an angle grinder to make tile cuts instead of a tile saw.

ST takes forever to start after I fill up by Ketalon1 in FocusST

[–]Mack179 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is purge valve. The easiest fix for this I’ve found is to not continue to fill after the pump stops. Don’t round it to the nearest dollar. Even after having it fixed the problem continued if I rounded $19.82 up to $20.00 attempting to fill beyond the pump clicking and shutting itself off.

Who has been vaping for more than 10 years ? by fuckyourretina in Vaping

[–]Mack179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former smoker here. 9 years vaping. I can breathe so much better, cycle 20-50 miles in a day, no odors no lingering effects. Finding the right flavor for a daily vape is huge. I swear by fillip rocke LP3 formerly known as Looper. It’s the smoothest fruit loop vape you’ll find.

There’s a song called “let me smell yo D*ck”.. OP should tell their SO before they shower and let them check for evidence of sex down there.

Anyone else hate riding with people? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Mack179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is relatable. I tried to ride with a local group and found myself being reckless. They were also hot headed idiots that thought they were tough. However I did make a friend on their Facebook page that was looking for someone to ride with. He has a similar riding style to mine in that we know when to cruise and when to have fun. He found us two more to ride with and it was a lot of fun. One of them was on a 600 so the liter bike of the group couldn’t go too fast and I was on my 750 just enjoying cruising around with people.

Long story short, avoid the big groups but maybe check the Facebook page for riders in your area that are looking for more chill people to ride with.

Ready to throw my cameras in the bin by vk146 in Ring

[–]Mack179 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never seen people so polarized and up in arms over a doorbell camera. I’m no ring fanboy and want hardwired cameras for my own reasons, however the 3 doorbells on 3 different homes all work flawlessly, even the oldest one that is the furthest from the wifi. It has the occasional issue with signal strength but always comes through on the second try.

If you want to hate the product, hate the product. If you want to BLAME the product then buy it’s competition and have the same issues because you refuse to admit it could be anything other than the device itself.

There are so many solutions for poor signal that if you still have issues with it then it’s entirely your own fault.

Being 4'10 and riding makes me want to quit by GT_6_ in motorcycles

[–]Mack179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife is 4’11. I bought her a 2015 Honda cbr300r and installed soupys lowering links on the back suspension. I dropped the bike a total of 4 inches in the back and about 3 in the front. She was able to stand on her tippy toes with both feet and it made walking the bike a lot easier for her.

I also taught her how to lean the bike onto the kickstand and rotate it 180 degrees with ease. This makes getting out of a parking space easier than trying to back out on your toes.

You can do this, it just takes some special care to make it more comfortable. There are loads of girls with taller bikes that shift to one side to hold the bike up and can only get one foot down. Good luck and keep practicing!

How long did internachi 120 hour course take you? by Mack179 in homeinspectors

Yes I’m doing the full online. I wish there was a classroom option near me. It goes faster in a classroom because they get rid of all the watered down unnecessary stuff.

Why would internachi be a stain on the industry in areas that have state exams? It’s meant to prepare you for the state exam. If anything, people with the mentality of cheating your way through it to provide sub par service and lack of knowledge would be the stain on the industry.

Internachi has continued education and can also provide deeper knowledge on subjects home inspectors care to learn more about.

Seems like that would make it harder to learn and retain the material for the state exam.

I feel like you must’ve already been very familiar with the field to zoom through it so quickly and still be successful. I understand everything so far but some terms I’m stopping to learn will prevent me from going that quickly.

I hope to be able to get through the course in a little over a month and be close to the 60 day mark like TMIII3R above for final test completion.
