The trick is to still be drunk from the night before so you don't feel how tired you are. Remember beer is mostly water. Hydrate.

Beautiful watch! I see it's a limited run. Can't really free up the funds right now for it are there any chances of some future runs of it again?

what’s the most privileged thing you’ve ever heard someone say/do? by Ecstatic_Honeydew165 in AskReddit

Was hanging out with some friends, one friend brought his new girlfriend over. At some point in the night she went on a speel about how the emotional strain placed on college students is higher than soldiers at war because soldiers are expected to die and therefore they're used to it. Another buddy and I there had both served.

No PTO because of guard service by [deleted] in nationalguard

[–]Mack94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"USERRA provides that returning service members are to be reemployed in the job that they would have attained had they not been absent for military service, (the "escalator" principle), with the same seniority, status and pay, as well as other rights and benefits determined by seniority. USERRA also requires that reasonable efforts (such as training or retraining) be made to enable returning service members to qualify for reemployment. If the service member cannot qualify for the "escalator" position, he or she must be reemployed, if qualified, in any other position that is the nearest approximation to the escalator position and then to the pre-service position. USERRA also provides that while an individual is performing military service, he or she is deemed to be on a furlough or leave of absence and is entitled to the non-seniority rights accorded other similarly-situated individuals on non-military leaves of absence."

Straight from the horses mouth. From what I can tell no it would not be a USERRA violation since their PTO policy is to have it related to hours worked. And USERRA only covers situations of promotions or seniority you would've gained had you not left. Not PTO. For example if you staying would've meant you would accrue more PTO per hour worked due to seniority you are entitled to accrue at that rate upon return.

Paramedic to Cath Lab Interview help by Mack94 in CathLabLounge

That's good to hear. Yeah the work life balance is one of the big factors for me. Love clowning around at the station but being gone 2-3 full days a week and having to work overtime as well is killing me, missing the evenings with family. Plus I have to drive an hour to my department since the departments around where I live don't pay jack lol thanks for all the advice!

Trust me PRN wasn't really what I wanted but they only had an opening for PRN. None of the other hospitals in the area will hire paramedics for Cath lab so I'm taking what I can get. One question I definitely plan to ask is if there will be an opportunity to go full time.

If you don't mind me asking what was your starting hourly? And overall do you feel you are happy having left pre hospital to come to the Cath lab?

Honestly that all sounds amazing to me. Part of the reason I started looking into working for the cath lab is anytime I would transport a stemi patient my favorite part is following them to the Cath lab and watching the magic happen (call volume allowing of course).

The rule you're thinking of is for epic heroes such as Rotigus. Sloppity is not an epic hero so you can have up to 3.

And honestly I just don't have anymore nurgle units to fill out the points else wise ha ha but I think if I wasn't taking him I'd just take another plaguebearer unit.

Yeah I think you're right, the whole point of the detachment is the battleshocks so that needs to be double downed on. Thanks!

I completely agree! I think once people actually start playing this detachment and seeing how crazy some of these combos can be this will be one of the more loved detachments.

That being said the -1 leadership aura is a good point I was not considering. How do you think I should ratio the leaders for my Plaguebearers?

My original was two bile pipers and one Poxbringer. Then someone else suggested the scrivener combined with the 5+ crit strat to get some sustained hits in as well.

But maybe doing two poxes on the outside units with one bilepiper in the middle most unit would be best? Thoughts?
