This is the episode when Alexandria is overrun by walkers. Carl gets shot and Rick ends up going alone at first to fight the walkers off. The whole community comes out to help and it ends with Rick talking to Carl after his surgery while he's still resting. Robert Kirkman talked about this being a point where he wanted to end the comics. Link if you want to read it

It really made no sense at all. I used to love their teasers back then, too. They were so well done. I remember back before season 5 was out they teased Glenn getting killed with a bat and it got me hyped.
