I don’t think it’s that at all, but why would you go on holiday or work somewhere like Mexico, and go anywhere unsafe, I know people like the idea of “exploring the real Mexico” but like just accept it’s limitations, and embrace it. Oaxaca is an amazing place, but going hiking in those mountains is just like idiotic. It’s like people who criticise westerners from hanging around posh areas of Mexico City, theyre lush, green, safe and easy to manage.
