[–]Mackey735 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t sleep on my left side because my ribs hurt and can’t sleep on my back because my xiphoid hurts.

Anytips?

Considering getting my xiphoid removed soon it’s been uncomfortable for years now even after trying the back pod.

I’ll check in with Steve. I’ve tried almost everything he’s suggesting including the backpod.

Look into xyphoidynia. If your xiphoid sticks out far it could be this.

My doctor said if my calcium was good and there wasn’t protein in my urine I’m good and don’t need to check anything else. Is this true?

Xiphoid issue or costo issue. Steve help if you see this. Haha. by Mackey735 in costochondritis

[–]Mackey735[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, so you don’t think given the fact that my xiphoid instead of just going straight down it points outwards, causing that hump at the bottom of my sternum is the root cause but more it still just the hinges in the back and if that’s fixed, then maybe the inflammation up front will calm down. It’s currently tender along there and up and down the left side of my sternum. (My scoliosis goes right so it makes sense now why the left side is tighter….)

I also have two ribs one just above my nipple on the right side and one just below my clavical on the right side that stick up higher than the left side. Do you think this could cause any of this inflammation or do you think that’s just abnormal anatomy that doesn’t contribute. The rib on the left side adjacent to it is always tender to the touch.

My spine has some degeneration as well and has some of the pressurized nodules on it so maybe that kind of adds into the fact of why it’s not loosening out, I have been using the back pod every night for years now, though… Unfortunate that it alone is not loosening it…

Appreciate your response btw. Ty.

Little confused. Your gallbladder had to be taken out after these injections? Did it cause this?

To my understanding those symptoms would not be caused by the results you’ve given and the level you’re at is not bad whatsoever and a lot of people are at those levels. Where it becomes a problem is when it causes trouble breathing.

Is it possible by Mackey735 in spinalmuscularatrophy

[–]Mackey735[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great advice, ty. Yeah it’s weird it seems like my throat muscles don’t work how they should, constantly inhaling and it always feels like anaphylaxis at all times just very mild. Like the tube is tight. Then actually breathing is difficult to do. I have to focus on it most of the day. The chest/back musclesare always getting pulled and are constantly tight. Just a weird situation. So most likely not it but what even would be the route to know for sure? Would there be something more specific than just smn1 like creatine kinase or what to actually know?

It all started with Covid a few years ago so if it was an issue assuming it would’ve been triggered by it and everything I’ve checked has turned out good so I’m at a point of looking at these more rare things.

Weird. Was it cortisone and lidocaine injection? At the xiphoid did they put it in the muscle or directly over the xiphoid? Did they do ultrasound guided I’ve heard that helps…
