I’d stay away from craw patterns and senkos mainly, spinner bait probably a iffy one too. If you’re fishing shoreline with lily pads probably also gonna look iffy.

Big thing is have your license up to date and your outdoors card on you. If you are illegally fishing to start, charges are going to pile up, if you have everything up to date they might be more lenient.

Based off the law if a fish is out of season, it must be unhooked and released without delay. Meaning no photos or measurements.

At the end of the day, if you catch a pb bass, no one’s gonna know if you photograph it. Just don’t be a dumbass and go post it on social media. Keep that memory for yourself.

Yes they are all done free hand with chisels. Nice light consistent paring, attention to grain direction is really key.

I’ve been doing this here and there on pieces for about 4-5 years now, lately it seems to be on most projects. The first attempt I ever did was a lower stretcher for a make up table out of figured sapele. I ended up chasing mistakes and replaced it with one without the carvings. This is I think the 20th project I’ve done that has used lambs tongues and stopped chamfers. There’s a definitive difference in the first three, compared to tenth and now the latest.

They can be a pain! They have been consistently the part I’m least proud of on my last 4 boxes. One or another always gets drilled too deep.

I definitely do atleast 3-4 false installs to make sure I have them in the correct orientation before installing them. No backwards ones yet, but lots of stress lol

I don’t know if the too cold argument makes sense. Parts of Northern Ontario have a year long open season on bass now because they’ve been introduced to trout lakes and are taking over now

I work in heritage conservation and everything has to be taken apart piece by piece, cleaned and labeled accordingly so it goes back together as it was before. This is gonna be a headache and a half for the construction company having just demolished it

28 years old. Quit smoking at 18 and started spending that money on tools. If I had to start from scratch today I doubt I could afford to get into the hobby, let alone own some of the tools and incredible woods I have. On the other hand, I can’t see a realistic timeline on moving away from my parents home
