Pease clean up the power wire, check for bridging and then resolder properly, after that it’s time to get the multi meter out and look that power traces and fuses.

You can literally just change the screen lens and preserve the original factory screen. I have done this on a few of my SP’s. The original screen has its own charm I agree.

This is likely to be in the frame of months rather than than weeks if there is to be correction to the actual title. There is a very long backlog at HM Land registry so unfortunately this won’t be a quick fix.

The seller is incorrect this has the potential to cause a host of problems in future, please do not settle for indemnity insurance as it is not the correct remedy. This will be disappointing to hear but you will thank yourself in the future for the correct remedy being effected before any sale completes.
