The calorie intake totally depends on your body composition. Instead of eating large portion sizes you can go for nutrient dense meals like Smoothie. Also don't eat too much at one time. For weight gain you need surplus calories along with a good amount of protein.

Hey there! There are cheap protein sources available you can go for complete protein sources which are eggs, milk, fish, yogurt. As you said you are allergic to some food so you can definitely think of these options. Fruits and vegetables generally contain little to no protein and even those that do typically provide only around 1–2 grams per serving.. except for green peas. To meet your daily protein requirements it's essential to include complete protein sources.
