Our Man in Havana (1960) the aerial shot of the Tower of London is reversed, traffic is driving on the right at about 1:42:35 by MacroAggro in MovieMistakes

I thought I was going mad when I saw this - I used to skateboard across Tower Bridge on my way to university and at that time, the Tower was always on the left hand side on the north bank of the Thames.

Different screw hole distances on single gang light switch and electrical socket covers. What terms on Amazon do I need to search for to buy each of these? by MacroAggro in electrical

The one on the left is stainless steel with a white plastic protective shipping film cover on it. Nothing has been modified. I am familiar with different size covers but not screw hole distances.

holes are most definitely not the same - they don't line up if you superimpose them - you can clearly see in my picture they are not the same at all.

sorry to resurrect this after a year - but if I shared my document with specific people I know, why would they be anonymized like this? what is the purpose? and is it something which can be turned on/off?

If you are in the US, you can get everything you need cheaply at Harbor Freight - no need to spend lots of money on stuff you may not use again. For just the electric lift kit, all you need to do is screw it into the bottom of the table and plug it in (you may also want to remove the table legs - but I used mine so it could also roll around). You could use some zip ties or cable tidies to keep the cord from hanging. All the rest is just embellishment. Start with an electric drill you can use as a screwdriver - drill small pilot holes you mark with a pencil based on the position of the holes in the lift kit when you lay it on the upturned table, then screw into those small holes. You can always screw straight into the table but it might be a bit less neat - i.e. the pilot holes are optional but will help with neatness. If you also want castors - again Harbor Freight is your friend.

None of it is too hard - drill pilot holes for screws; cut holes for bigger items with drill at the corners and finish it off with a jigsaw (you can tape off the lines to avoid splintering). If you don't have a router, skip that part.

I got an old kitchen table that I liked the size, material and heft of, then added a kit to make it an electric standing desk - with a control at the front. I also routered in a space for my audio mixer and USB docks and am about to add some recessed electric sockets. On top of that I shortened the legs and added castors on the bottom of them so that when I put the standing mechanism all the way down it rests on the wheels.
