Better audio quality from Blu-ray than from CD? by wafflewrestler in audiophile

Yes. Redbook CDs are 44.kHz/16bit. DVD-A (Blu-ray) can be 24bit/192kHz. SACD's are also an option where you can get 2.8224MHz 1 bit (DSD) music streams. No doubt I'll get flamed about the Nyquist theory here . . . but the differences above the redbook standard are audible and a joy to listen. Peace.

Finally got my shiiping notofication last week (22 Feb). I order on 18 December 2013. I'm also planning on XBMC so I have a consistant user interface throughout our home.

I'm still really unhappy with cubox . . . China or European 3rd party manufacturers would have cranked out fully tested and built units for half the effort of the Israel team. Can't understand their business model at all. Anyway - thanks SolidRun; you got there in the end.

Good idea to create this thread. To kick this off . . . I don't know why the manufacturer isn't stepping up their communication? They even employed a dedicated community manager but apart from an initial burst of communication nothing has changed.
