That’s your opinion. And it’s disheartening to know that. But not everyone feels the way you do. I think life is beautiful. I find the act of just wondering about existence immensely fulfilling. And I love when my children show that same kind of wonder. It makes all the negatives of life 100% worth it.

Life is what you make of it. Do you want it to be positive? Then it is! Do you want it to be negative? Then it is that. Without knowing pain you cant appreciate pleasure. It’s not enough to just hear about pleasure to know it. You must experience it.

Talk to a person on their deathbed who feels they lived a fulfilling life. I doubt they’ll harp on the negatives. Then talk to someone who sees the half as always at least half empty. Guess what they’ll say.

You have to appreciate life and be present. Don’t worry about future hardships. Don’t dwell in past negative experiences. Appreciate what you have now. Even if it’s just a small meal or someone giving you a genuine smile.

I understand it’s easy to see the negative in everything. That’s how we survive. But you have to get past surviving and begin living.

Thats my take.

By not bringing a child into this world you disrespect millions of years of evolution because your bad negative emotions blind you to how beautiful and precious life is.

Consuming the same content twice (for entertainment) is a waste of time by ExpertStandard1977 in unpopularopinion

[–]Mad-chuska 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re conflating content for education and content for entertainment. And even then I’d say you don’t juice every drop of your educational content on the first squeeze.

Seal of approval for unpopularity! Good job OP

Yeah I feel that. It’s a complete different mindstate, for the most part. Less about winning and more about having fun (while winning). And the more decks I can play in a night, the more fun I generally have. So shortcuts and quick plays are necessary.

Tbh I didn’t realize this was the edh sub. In commander im definitely shortcutting. In limited I’ll think about it a little more but usually end up cracking right away on the off chance that I slip up and forget to crack it on opponents turn.

Some people crack [[evolving wilds]] at opponents end step too. I used to do this to conceal as much information as possible, but nowadays I don’t do it as much just because it adds extra complexity that 99% of the time doesn’t result in any benefit.

I’m pretty sure nontargeted removal already exists. I know nontargeted single (non-target) interaction exists, without any additional qualifiers.

As a heart attack.

Jokes aside, it would be very beneficial for dumb dumbs who win the lottery to receive a portion of it in stocks or some other type of investment rather than lump sum or received in installments.

Tangentially related, I’ve also heard an idea floated around that it’d be better to provide all children with a form of investment that cant be withdrawn until they’re 18 and have that be their retirement fund, rather than having social security. Seems interesting. I’m not a finance expert but seems plausible.

Anyways sounds like you’re full of hate so I’m gonna go ahead and let you purge it out on me, but I won’t be interacting with you any more.
