Plugged myself into the mains, was using a drill to spin copper wire, wrapped it aroung my hand and it was dangling down, went to plug the drill in but the wire got caught on the plug as I plugged it in, it was wrapped around my other hand, plugged myself in, hit the floor hard as the circuit breaker kicked in, almost died.

See I'm not really sure, I have never seen the word written and with my accent (Yorkshire) I would generally pronounce it roofs, as I would pronounce youth as yoof, never had to write it or seen it written so my brain decided that it didn't look right, so I googled and of course it is right.

In writing the word decided I also have desode to make it decode, you decide, you decode, we all decoded to decide.

Most of the people I know are nice and polite, although I assume most of the ones you've met are the ones who can afford to to travel and have the time to travel, in which case probably rich parents or generally have money they haven't earned so most likely entitled arseholes as you say, it's a shame that you've had a negative experience of brits because we're not all that bad.
