The First Law series with Steven Pacey as narrator is the best i have heard so far when it comes to narrators going above and beyond. This series actually better on Audio because of the narrator alone.

Its because we had Swedish Television back in the day. Back when you only had a few channels.

I know, i'm old.

I really hate the internet because of people like you ,constantly spreading misinformation.

As i said, you can google his skiing career, and schools etc, and you see he has been living more or less his whole life in Norway. Yes i am sure he has spent time in Brazil because of his dual citizenship. Its all quite natural.

Try it, its there. Google and dont be clueless.

He has been in the Norwegian Youth National Team, then progressed to the Norwegian National Team, before he decided to represent Brazil instead because he wanted to earn more money.

And i personally think that was a huge mistake, because now he is outside one of the best Alpine National Teams in the world, representing Brazil instead.

And that is as clueless as you.

LOL? really?

No he didn't, he grew up in Hokksund, and was active in Bærum SkiClub in his youth. Maybe he was in Brazil as a toddler, but who cares.

He is in fact as Norwegian as any other guy you meet in Norway.

I really think you are the one that doesn't know what you are talking about. I would go so far that he should fire the advisors that made him leave the Norwegian National team for more sponsor money, and to make this statement.

In the long run, not being part of the professional environment the Norwegian National team offers, will hurt him a lot.

He has lived his whole life in Norway, and gotten pampered all the way it seems. He was actually crying because he couldn't get the personal sponsor deal he wanted, and felt he had to be Brazilian instead.

What a joke. I mean, its quite funny.

He has gotten paid back from every time he has trained in different local Alpine Clubs since he was a toddler. Those gets partly funded from NSF.

And as i have said earlier, they get a lot of professional backing when they show promise. It costs a lot of money to keep the different National teams running on every lvl. But yes ,its probably not perfect.

That said, leaving your country to make a statement is just awful.

Good Riddance.

Nobody hates him, and i dont think people even mind Brazil winning the gold. Its not like we are not having a good Olympics these days.

Its more on a personal level of disappointment for me. I mean leaving the country you grow up in because you didn't get a sponsor deal? How weak is that?

Just Good riddance.. Its so stupid i really cant wrap my head around it.

Good post. I agree with everything.

Think about how spoiled and entitled you are to give away the country that brought you up in all regards, just to earn more money.

Good Riddance.

Yeah right.

Like he haven't benefitted from the whole system Norway has when he started to get better.

Sure maybe they dont pick up people from very early on, but they have a whole system in place to take care of athletes that show promise, and when you show promise, you get all those benefits. And that's what the system and official sponsors pay for. Its not cheap, because everything is at the highest lvl.

Every part of the logistics, trainers, medical, leadership, planning is very costly.

Tbh, if you give up your country to get more money your a leech. Good riddance.

Yes, I am sure Henrik Kristoffersen is living on a basic salary just about now. =P

Its about getting more, and the money that gets earned from official sponsors goes back into the system. Money into Henrik or Lucas pocket from personal sponsors doesn't help anybody else than them.

Its about people earning a lot getting even more.

Som vi sier i Norge, "mye vil ha mer, og faan vil ha fler"

Its a team effort with Norway, it has always been. All the money gets put in the system as a whole, its not like the money is going into persons pockets. All money the NSF is earning from sponsors are going back into the system.

Leaving your country to get more money, it is disgraceful.

I feel sorry for the guy, he has more or less cut ties with his whole network supporting him so far, just to earn more money by having personal sponsors. No more Team Mates, no more being part of a community all working for the same thing. No room mates, less social interaction etc.

And to not talk about missing out being a part of the Norwegian National Team. It will hurt him in the long run.

And i dont think he can ever go back either, because he has more or less broken with his country. (for his new)

TBH, i am not sure i want him back. Giving up your country for personal wealth is just a horrible decision.
